  1. It's all good, guys. Give a man a little while to soothe before hitting us with superiority complex comments, I see where he's coming from. A lot of us live and die with this team.
  2. Wow, good stuff. Motivational speeches from Avery Johnson and Todd Dodge? If that doesn't get them fired up, nothing will.
  3. Looks like they were slightly off on Texas Tech!
  4. a few more... Dumb or dumber?
  5. The no-call on Devin Harris's drive through the paint that knocked him out of the game was amazing....he got absolutely drilled in the head. I can live with that one because we ended up getting the rebound anyway. However, the 3 pointer that Nash hit to send the game into overtime was ridiculous. Shawn Marion REACHED OUT and clipped Buckner on his way over to defend the shot. Give me a break. Dirk and J-Ho kinda disappeared in the clutch, so congrats to Phoenix. Let little Stevie Nash (when did he turn into such a pansy **tch?) win another MVP. We'll see them in the playoffs WITH our full lineup in tact hopefully. We were missing 2 of our top 7 last night.
  6. Hopefully they won't throw the old circle star monstrosity on there. It IS what they showed on the selection show.
  7. How is Western Kentucky ranked higher than us?
  8. Nice alteration of the Maryland jersey! Any chance you could do something similar with the Auburn jersey? FWIW: Some pics of the other UA jerseys currently. Tech, yuck.
  9. Dickey Nutt looks like a guy who would try to sell you a used Pontiac at some lot in Grand Prairie.
  10. One online prediction has us as a 15 playing against Florida in New Orleans. I'd take that.
  11. Any chance we can see some sweet wallpapers/graphics/t-shirt designs etc. for the 2007 SBC Champions? No rush of course!
  12. Doesn't a 13 beat a 4 every year? I think I can remember some 14's beating 3's and even an instance or two of a 15 shocking a 2. Let's beat Arky State first though.
  13. SUMG, you were right... I low-balled that a little!
  14. I'll be stopping on the way home. What time is the drawing? Also, how much would everybody be willing to donate if they won about $140 million? (or is that too personal to ask? ) I'd be good for a solid 5-10 million to get the ball rolling, that's for sure!
  15. I was a part of this group in '01. They had to have been the best ever when Brandon Rogers and Norah Jones were in the group together. I remember seeing them do a concert in high school.
  16. I was at the City of Southlake's Chamber of Commerce awards banquet last Friday, and who do I see sitting at the table directly next to mine? None other than Coach Dodge of course. He was the recipient of the Citizen of the Year award. Some of the words used to describe his accomplishments and contributions to society gave me goosebumps. He was commended for not only creating successful teams on the field but for helping to mold successful young individuals. It was mentioned that the people of Southlake were going to miss him more for the effect he had on their children than for his accomplishments on the football field. He created a family environment within his teams that produced a type of prideful chemistry that showed on the field. The speaker congratulated him for helping to build good strong Americans through his involvement with the youth of this community. During his acceptance speech, he said that if you can create a family environment within your organization where everyone supports and respects each other and believes in the system and the process, then the wins will take care of themselves. This type of thinking has me excited beyond belief.
  17. Jeez...have we ever played well there? Who knows though...could be a "Troy vs. Missouri" type upset.
  18. I think a lot of us are going to need to take some deep breaths and remember these statements during some of the more trying times this upcoming season.
  19. Sam Schwartzstein - Jr. 6' 4 265 (not bad size for a junior in high school) Named to 5A Texas Football.com All Junior Team. http://www.5atexasfootball.com/06seasonawards.htm Star-Telegram 2nd Team All-District http://www.dfw.com/mld/startelegram/sports...ls/16322354.htm Protects Riley's blind side for what it's worth. Word is that he wants to go to Vanderbilt, OU, or North Texas (just for Dodge). That comes from a pretty reliable source.
  20. I'm a Recreation Supervisor for the City of Southlake and about 3/4 of my part-time staff goes to Carroll. So, I'm always asking about it and overhearing things. The one person I asked about Tre thinks that North Texas is definitely NOT one of the schools he's considering. Who knows though.
  21. More RUMORS from the halls of Southlake Carroll: Riley Dodge IS planning to go play for his dad. Dodge will also be recruiting an offensive lineman named Schwartzstein. Padron and Russo have been sporting Mean Green gear to school almost every day. A lot of SLC students/alums are planning on making at least 1-2 NT home games next season. Take them for what they're worth.
  22. 6-6...and I'd love every minute of it because it would mean that we are on the upward climb again.
  23. Keep us updated on the Vizza situation guys. MeanGreenSports.com is not loading on my computer here at work...too many people on that site I guess!
  24. Keep 'em coming! Did anyone hear the guy from Rivals on the Ticket this morning? Talked Big XII, talked USC/Florida, talked (complimented) North Texas and Dodge, talked a lot of TCU...NO mention of SMU.
  25. There were 25,000 at the Carroll vs. Allen playoff game, and close to half were Allen fans. Gotta love the art of a negative spin. Dragon Stadium can squeeze 10,000 in MAYBE. This is a major university they are comparing to a high school, some of this stuff has gotten blown way out of proportion.
