  1. Couldn't be there tonight (had an ill grandparent that I had to visit suddenly). GREAT WIN! It looks like the defense was on point and made some huge plays. The one thing that worries me from looking at the box score was the fact that two of ULM's receivers had catches of 46 and 48 yards respectively. Were these pretty much the only big plays we gave up? I know that ULM isn't feeling much better giving up a 99 yarder to Fitz!
  2. ...confused. Was it supposed to say "My Buddy" ???
  3. I have two polos from shopmeangreen as well. One is a standard cotton, but it was a great price (15 bucks I think). The other is a dry fit in the kelly green color. I paid more for that one, but it was still much less than anything you'd find in the stores.
  4. Wow, that's one tall, skinny, FAST linebacker! Just kidding. Anyway, does he really clock a 4.3???
  5. I'll say it again...please prove me wrong. ULM - 34 North Texas - 26 (we'll miss an extra point)
  6. 11 words on a sign makes a novel, huh? Besides, I was picturing a large banner. Just an idea, the "We Believe" thing would say the same thing, it's just been done ten million times.
  7. How would a HUGE sign similar to something below look flying in the heart of the alumni section...or even the student section?! It might encourage a few...never know. Let's print it!
  8. Is anyone talking about the two amazing catches by B-Jax? How bout Fitz tipping the ball to himself and into the endzone? What about Vizza getting flipped upside down as he dove trying to get a first down?
  9. Well, now that we are pretty much out of the conference race, I can step back and look at this season for what it is...an EXTREME rebuild job. I will watch games and look for some positives that will give me hope for the future (I've already seen quite a few). I will continue to tailgate, drink beer, and enjoy the game day environment...even if it's me and 12,000 others. I will no longer let myself live and die with each possession, and I will no longer curse in the stands (or at the tv). I say we all just step back, let the football season soak in, and make the best of it. Remember what our Belt mates used to always warn us about. In college football, success is cyclical...especially at our level. We WILL be back, and it WILL be exciting. Let's go ahead and start at rock bottom, and usher in the new era of North Texas football over the next few years. And if you want some other positives to consider...no one in the Sun Belt has come close to the level of domination we exhibited when this football conference was just starting out. Also...the COWBOYS are undefeated! Let's ride the pro team bragging rights this season. Lastly, basketball starts here pretty soon, and we are the defending champs in that sport. Do we feel better?
  10. Did I win?
  11. In all fairness, Stevenson and Miller had a few nice plays. But wow, our LB's look damn slow...against one of the WORST teams in the nation.
  12. I don't know if I can think of a time that I've ever seen a defense play worse against screen passes. Man, that was ugly. Bring on 2008!
  13. North Texas: 30 UL-L: 38 Please, prove me wrong.
  14. Why in the hell are we turning on each other? I bet that RV reads this stuff and sighs. I bet that players/recruits read this stuff and laugh.
  15. "The sad reality is you have the North Texases of the world trying to keep up and play a game they simply can't win," said David Ridpath, a professor of sports administration at Ohio University. "There's only so far they can go, and if they try to go as far as UT, they're going to lose, and their students are going to lose." Says the official at Ohio University?
  16. I agree with you guys...well all except for the 2nd half of the FAU game. That was anything but fun to watch! Do you think somewhere in the mountains Dickey is thinking "Hell, at least I beat SMU..."
  17. Yuck, who designed that? Why not just use brick? I'm glad that one got scrapped.
  18. In the drawing, are those actually green glass blocks? Or it that some kind of graphical treatment to show future expansion or a sort of cut-a-way to view interior angles or what?
  19. Great photos as always! Is that blood on Micah Moseley's pants? Only problem is...with the slideshow format we can't borrow pictures for our own personal screensavers! Just kidding, keep up the good work.
  20. Really? How long before these photos are leaked to the public? Dang, now I'm curious.
  21. No one is saying he is the ONLY reason we lost this game. HOWEVER, his mistakes (yes, I said HIS mistakes) have come at the worst possible times the past two weeks, and you can physically see the confidence of the team and the fan base fade into nothingness immediately following. Idiots and jackasses, that's a little harsh. We see what we see, we're not blind. Also, some of you are bailing DM out on some of these picks he's thrown. If a play is designed to go to a certain receiver as the first option, but the defense has it covered up, and then the QB throws the ball there anyway...how is that the coaching staff's fault? Unreal. The deep ball to Fitz from the 38 was there, Fitz had his guy beat. But when you wait too long to release the ball and then float it up so high that the corner and damn near both safeties have time to recover and get in on the jump ball, something ain't working right. Am I the only one who sees this? Meager is a man, and he can handle the criticism. It comes with the territory. Why are some of us so afraid to point out the obvious? What is there to lose by starting Vizza from here on out. Can the QB play get any worse? Honestly?
  22. I thought I'd never say this, but I would have liked to have seen a few more carries on 2nd and 1 or 3rd and 1. Jamario looks like he might be returning to form. FAU is lucky that they never had to face the true J-MO at his best.
  23. Exactly. And as he continues to be our quarterback, I for one will start to expect 2-3 picks a game...often in crucial moments.
  24. The next wins? Will they overshadow the next losses? Sorry, this one hurt pretty badly for some reason. And this message board is my therapy.
  25. Does it really have to get worse before it gets better? If so, how much worse can we be than last year? I think you're right though. I had myself thinking we were a better team this year. When in all actuality, we're just different...not better. Yet.
