Why, after reading this entire thread, do I feel the need to reassure myself as far as the value of my degree goes? You would think that the University of North Texas is basically a glorified community college from which any old GED recipient can earn a college degree. Let the statistics say what they will. Intelligent people who make intelligent choices will grow and prosper in life regardless of their university's academic tier rating. Bring on the UC whoevers and Texas Techsters who say otherwise. Sheesh, what a read.

The difference between a 2 seed and a 7 seed in the West this year is not the usual talent difference as in years past. A total of 5 games separated these two teams when you look at the records. I'd say that second half was a choke job...yeah. Maybe not. Prove me wrong, Mavs. Can a zebra change his stripes?

Wow...let the annual choke job begin. It seems to start earlier and earlier each year. Is anyone else disgusted to watch Jason Terry and Josh Howard these days knowing what they once were? I've never seen a "first half all-star" disappear at the end of games as badly as Josh Howard. I would trade him for Gerald Wallace straight up in a heartbeat. Jason Terry? Has there ever been a more inconsistent player? I won't be sad if Jet, Josh, and even Avery are gone next year. Let's rebuild. Avery Johnson is getting outcoached yet again, and I doubt Cuban will tolerate it any longer. I know the series isn't over. But what do I have to look forward to when the body language of the Mavs resembles the same BS I saw in Miami and Golden State. Sack up and start this puppy over. Oh, and last thing: Chris Paul is an amazing young player. It's a shame he's a whiny cry baby loud mouth. I would have never thought he was the type.

Oh no doubt he's off to a good start. I work with a Little E die hard, and I just like to give him crap because he blamed the last two season entirely on supposedly shotty DEI equipment. Now that he's running the best...and if he's the driver he's described to be by many, he'll win 5-6 races this year. I've always liked the 17 though...consistent and calculating. If he can avoid the wrecks of others, he's almost gauranteed a top 15 (if not a top 10) at any type of track under any conditions. Not to mention, I'm a Ford guy.

NASCAR talk on GMG? Works for me! I'm a Kenseth guy, and for the second year in a row the #17 DeWalt Fusion was booted from top 5 contention by someone elses wreck. Last year, it was Kyle "I'll wreck anyone or anything including myself to win a race" Busch, this year it was Matt's teammate David Ragan. Without stirring the pot too much, I'll say this: Junior better start producing some wins this season. In the equipment that he's got, he has no more excuses. We'll see!

That is true most of the time. I guess I was referring to the language more than anything else. Again, it doesn't offend me. I was just making an observation.
