I think you'll be happy to discover that there are actually some folks that already do this pretty frequently.

I just realized how ridiculous it is that they can't have someone there to ring up season tickets when basketball season is just around the corner. Football game days are when the most alumni are back in town, and why wouldn't we kill two birds with one stone? Unbelievable.

Luckily, we know that you will go back and get those tickets at a later time because you're one of us die hards. Unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to say the same for other people that this could happen to.

I'm not quite ready to jump ship on Coach Dodge yet. HOWEVER, when I was watching the game tonight, I kept waiting to see some kind of creativity on offense. I wanted to see some kind of wrinkle that would cause just the slightest bit of confusion for the other team's defense. Ironically, the only wrinkle I saw that caught Troy off guard was us running the ball up the middle with Cam Montgomery. Have we come full circle around here or what? If Dodge is supposed to be some kind of offensive mastermind, why has this offense gotten worse in year 2? I don't understand it at all. Also, can we make the wide receivers work on nothing but catching drills for at least two hours a day?

How many points have come off of special teams mishaps? How many points have been scored shortly after the offense turned the ball over sending a tired defense right back out on the field?

Pleasantly surprising.

Anyone have a prediction for this one? What are the odds we take in the parade over at the Square and then make it over to Fouts in time to tailgate in the Orange Lot or the good part of the Blue Lot?

The idea that I can actually start counting down the games left at Fouts Field. Oh, and for your Trojans to ruin the game portion of our Homecoming. The parade, festivities, and tailgating will all be a blast though.

I would like to reiterate all the thanks to people like Flyer and everyone else who had a hand in making this happen. This could seriously be the turning point in our beloved program's history. Someone archive this thread...I will want to read it again some day to remember where we will have come from.

Noted, but this guy is a Longhorn fan. I realize his girlfriend is a student at UNT; but contrary to what his signature says, nothing I say will change his mind...much less his girlfriend's. I didn't call him an idiot on that site, and I kept it cordial enough in my opinion. If he wants to venture over here and read up, so be it. I'm sure the facts he might discover would far outweigh the fact that I called him an idiot. Vote or no vote, I'm not going to tip toe around on a website that has very little to do with North Texas. If a guy is spreading incorrect information, I'm going to call him out on it...condescending or not.

Ball State hasn't always been a Top 25 team. The teams I mentioned are ones that have had periods of losing similar to what we are experiencing right now. The fact that they play more regional rivals has nothing to do with it. Our conference isn't the problem...as the rest of the Sun Belt gets better, we need to learn to keep up.

That's the empty yardage between the 20's that Dodge's offense has had little trouble gaining this season. We're all waiting for them to punch in some damn touchdowns.

Ouch. If teams like Temple, Kent State, Ball State, San Jose State, Eastern Michigan, etc. continue to field D-I football teams for years and years, we should be able to as well. At least I hope so.

Skimming through the tv broadcast...Dodge had some things to say on the sideline. I heard a few F-bombs after the two officials blew that ridiculous block in the back penalty on a kickoff. Not that it would have made any difference, and the better team did win tonight...but that was one of the worst no-calls I've ever seen.

I would have loved booing...it shows that the fan base expects better and is not apathetic. I'm afraid we've gotten used to this...which sucks.

Agreed. But it's awfully hard to cheer loud and be rowdy when you're watching the worst football you've ever seen. Casey's one-handed catch and Vizza's bowling over a safety were the only moments that I sincerely "cheered."
