  1. How anyone can be okay losing to a winless Sun Belt team on your homecoming is beyond me. If we're really moving forward, we find ways to win these types of games. Maybe I have the progression wrong: 1. Lose big, all blowouts. 2. Lose big, almost all blowouts. 3. Lose big half the time, but lose close games half the time. 4. Lose close games all year long. 5. Lose half your close games, win half your close games. 6. Win more than half your games. How long are we going to have to wait on this thing?
  2. Well, we are still terrible. Embrace the suck.
  3. I understand the whole AFL thing, but they need to play in these again once in a while: One of my favorite uni's ever.
  4. Neither. Mark it down.
  5. While I appreciate the overly sportsmanlike talk from the Blue Raiders...can we just have a night to drown our sorrows? Sorry, I know it's well-intended, but to me it's like salt in the wounds tonight.
  6. Dunbar is going to be a stud for us, if he isn't already. Also, chat room open tonight?
  7. Brought some new folks to the game...they drank a little too much...we left at halftime...now I'm here with you guys.
  8. Yeah, because the difference between MTSU in Denton and 'Bama in Tuscaloosa against no Riley Dodge is just around 2 TD's.
  9. Just watched the game. Someone get Outlaw some better gloves or something. Also, regular old mid-major football is too much for Riley? He got hurt last year against Rice and tonight against Ohio. This one hurt bad. Still happy with 1-1 split though.
  10. Great pictures. That's actually a pretty nice stadium they have there.
  11. Thanks for the compliment, but the signature kinda ruins it for me.
  12. While kicking was bad, the new punter did a good job fielding a very low snap and then booming a 51 yarder.
  13. Every year when I predict a blowout loss for the opener, I ask the team to done one thing: prove me wrong. They did, and I am very proud to be Mean Green today!
  14. Listening to F.O.D. kick in after the acoustic start has never gotten old to this day. Add in gems like "She," "Burnout," "Welcome to Paradise," "Longview," "Basket Case," etc etc etc. Dookie is a classic.
  15. Some of those are pure gold! That's enough, Nickelback.
  16. Good list. I slightly prefer Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga and Attack and Release, but it's all great though.
  17. Really solid list. I love that Postal Service album. Ben Gibbard is a lucky man for getting to marry Zooey Deschanel. Turn on the Bright Lights almost made my top 10. If I would have done 15, it would have been there for sure. Antics is just as good really, just a personal preference thing. I really need to get into Andrew Bird. All I have is Noble Beast. Love Sun Kil Moon, April was definitely one of my favorites from '08. The Moon and Antarctica probably would have fallen at number 12 or so, such a great album (still the best work they've done in my opinion). I kinda hate rating Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Funeral, etc. so high since they are on so many lists. I just can't deny how much I love them though.
  18. Regardless of format, I commonly refer to the collection of songs as an "album." Many do the same (for example, http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/593...ms_of_all_time). That list has some Radiohead, Nirvana, etc. on it. Plus, I have almost my entire list on vinyl. I love some of your selections; Rumours is one of my all time favorites. Never could get into Boston, Journey or REO Speedwagon though. I've never given Asia a chance, so I can't really state an opinion on them.
  19. I know we had a good discussion a while back about albums of the year. Thought we'd start it up again. My tastes lean a little to the indie rock side of things, but let's hear what other enthusiasts were into this decade. My top 10: http://rateyourmusic.com/list/ThePartialGl...ms_of_the_2000s
  20. Seriously, good job putting this out there days before the season opener. Maybe it will fuel the fire, who knows.
  21. My predictions seem to get more and more depressing each year...but I'll say it again: prove me wrong! North Texas: 27 Ball State: 48
  22. Haven't seen it on any shelves. Anyone?
  23. Couldn't find this with a search for the life of me. Sorry if it's a repost. http://www.dentonrc.com/sharedcontent/dws/....11b822731.html http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/entertainm...8/fan_cans.html Not a fan of Bud Light, but I'd buy a case of the green and white ones!
