I went to the game with some Army friends, proud day for the Military! The Armed Forces Bowl had a great game day presentation, very very impressive, lots of fun for all! Really tale of two halfs, SMU was flat as can be in the first half, add in three or four turnovers and Army was up 16 to zip at halftime! I guess June Jones lit into them at halftime, cause they looked much different in the second half. SMU's kicker stinks, he missed two fieldgoals, including one on SMU's last drive that would have won the game. After Army's first drive, their offense couldn't do much at all. It was one of those games where SMU would win nine out of ten times, SMU doubled Army in total yardage, but it was Army's time! I was thrilled Army won, but, it wouldn't hurt my feeling if the Ponies would have won. I know thats blasphemy with most over here, but they are from DFW, and I will be for TCU bigtime tomorrow! Go Frogs, Go Mustangs, Go Meangreen!

Correct. Only way to change perception is to win. Can't blame Cowlishaw, he just reacts to what he has seen. Can't blame SMU, (though that's unthinkable with this group), they didn't write the paragraph. Donate money, buy tickets, show up to games, and stop blaming everyone else...UNT is responsible for UNT, thats it in a nutshell.

SMU's recruiting class is ranked 39th in the nation, very impressive.

With an enrollment of well over 30,000 students, and a huge metroplex alumni base, NT should have MASSIVE support, for a game less than 3 hours away!

George Dunham gets my vote by a mile! He talked about NT all morning today, it was unbelievable. If you weren't a meangreen fan, you might have changed the station. It's not just today either, any time TCU football or just about any team has been mentioned, George finds a way to bring up NT. Whatever UNT pays him, it's not enough, the free pub we get from him is priceless.

How many fans were there?

Evertime UNT gets a commitment, Vito seems to get it in the DMN. I have yet to see any commits from TCU in the paper,and they are a top 10 program, or SMU which is in Dallas (DMN). Great job Vito! Rivals has TCU with three 4 stars and fifteen 3 stars. SMU with fifteen 3 stars. UNT with six 3 stars.

Just went to Rivals, it said SMU pulled his offer in December. I watched his video, and he looks pretty good though, nice feet and hits hard. Nice pickup Todd!

I watched the game, and was surprised at all of the speed, and good young athletes June has got already.

Hiring the right coach is only part of the formula, I'm curious to see what the show has to reveal.

Just heard on 1310 the Ticket, that channel 33 will have a show on how SMU turned it around. I think they said 6:00pm. Mabey our coaches should tune in, it can't hurt.

1310 the ticket said that SMU has sold around 1,000 tickets. I think thats pretty good with the game on Christmas Eve. UNT has at least 4 time the enrollment, so we should have more than that if we went.

TCU vs Boise St....SMU vs Nevada. I just hope UNT can join in on the fun in the near future.

I didn't think June would coach past his 5 year deal, he will now be at SMU for 7 years.

I thought he would be gone because he is 55 now, and was a wealthy man before he got the SMU job. He said when he took the SMU job, that this would be his last job, before retiring back in Hawaii. I would be ready to retire in Hawaii myself.

I am going with a friend that is a TCU fan. I will be pulling for the Frogs, because they have a chance to be a BCS buster, if the situation was reversed, I would pull for Southern Methodist. It would be great for the Metroplex, if Dallas, Ft Worth, and Denton, had good football teams that drew well. Don't you people at least agree with that?

Most of the responces to a well wishing Mustang fan, make it hard for me to buy your constant "mean ole' SMU" cries. There seems to be strong evidence that you are the A-hole, in this equation.

I just read through five pages of SMU obsessed hatred, to find out who won this game. How many times can you print "smut" "$mu" "phonies" "sold out?" but, just just keep repeating how smu dislikes us, right? Some of you immature kids might try coming to church with me, todays lesson was on, letting jealousy and hatred, control your mind. Now, how about that Riley Dodge?
