What a difference a week makes. This must be your hatred of SMU speaking, because I believe you know enough football to recognize the talent that they have. The whole fourth quarter, they were playing second and third string and even walk on players. They totally milked the play clock down to 2 seconds before snapping the ball and were running the ball most of the time. They could have scored 60 or 70 if they wanted to. That SMU team, would beat UTEP by 60, unless their coach showed mercy... like he did to us last night.

What exit do I take off I35, to get to the blue lot and what time does it fill up? We usually park by old Fouts, but age is getting up there and trying to cut down on that long walk.

SMU fans are notorious, for not unifying with a single color for games. La Tech is similar, some Pony fans wear red, some blue, some white and some no color affiliation at all. Red shirts stand out, so that's what will be considered fan attendance. I went with a TCU buddy, to the game against SMU in Ft Worth last year and his tickets are on the west press box side. The red catches your eye, but I saw a least as many Mustang fans wearing white and even blue shirts...which is kind of stupid, since the blue blends in with purple. But, they have two dominate colors and people are going to wear what they want to. Keep an eye out for that tomorrow, you'll see what I mean.

My niece works for City Hall, I asked her about this and she hasn't heard anything about it. Where did you see this?

Last years game was a struggle for SMU and the wide receivers Roberson and Danny Gray are in the NFL now. That running back Bentley transferred to Ole Miss and that good TE is with the Eagles. This is a much different roster for SMU, and I only see 1 or 2 of these much talked about transfers, in the starting line up. It will take time for Junior College players or transfers to get up to speed. As the season goes along and these transfers get worked in, SMU will be a much better team. UNT could not catch SMU at a better spot, opening game for a 1st time new head coach and new staff, lot's of fire power lost, major turnover on the roster, UNT has a big conference road win under their belt, we have the Ponies at home, UNT has had 8 or 9 more training camp practices, and SMU has question marks everywhere. I also read on the TCU board, that the Mustangs have 1 starting receiver out for this game and 2 others are game time decisions, along with 2 starters on defense to miss on Saturday. Undeniable advantages on our side, if we don't win Saturday, not sure when we will ever have this many once in a lifetime advantages again. UNT 31- Ponies 20.

Ponyfans.com is pretty much a graveyard. I have a National subscription to 247 Sports and the relatively new site ON3. These sites are great for following high school recruiting and you can get info on any team in the country, by full time writers. I rarely look at the Ponyfans site anymore, but their fans have large numbers on the 2 sites mentioned above. Currently, the TCU site is entertaining because of the war with Tech fans. lol

Last time SMU came to Denton, I saw quite a few of their fans scattered around in the north endzone.

Seems like every response is a shot at SMU's poor attendance. Did you not see the poor attendance at our games in Apogee? UNT alums and students dwarfs SMU, and is our attendance any better? Those with glass houses..... We should worry about fixing our own problems.

I haven't heard any mentions of the Big12, but I've read a lot of buzz lately, that the Pac and ACC are in talks with SMU.

This time.....it's legal. UNT better stop crying about what others are doing and get busy. TCU for some weird reason, doesn't get mentioned over here, but, they are doing the same thing as SMU. Better get to work or get left behind.
