Fun idea!

This game worries me. Simply because everyone assumes a win just like ODU. Even the announcer in the game last night said we should be 9-3 going into our bowl game. Tap the brakes.

Maybe I've just missed it but I never hear his name called for tackles, sacks, pressures......have I just missed them? When he plays is he as much of a playmaker as we all hoped?

Such a momentum killer to come away with nothing. I guess they’d argue they left the other team the ball with horrible field position, but sometimes you need to add up little “wins” rather than an all or nothing mentality.

Who was it before that we had so many issues with?

Night and day difference to last year!

I really feel that the coaching staff was pushing for the high yardage games in some of their play calling. Maybe trying to get more recognition? More hype? Heisman attention? Pushing for the 400+ yard games.

Same issue for 20+ years. You have to allow the tailgating to make it feel like a big time program, but SUPRISE, some late teen/ early 20’s kids would rather drink, hangout, be social with each other than go into a football game. I agree that most won’t continue tailgating once the sun goes down, but those afternoon games sure make for a fun day. I’m sure there are some of our students who got excited about the Top 25 votes, the big wins, the Heisman talk (which I believe led to some play calling mistakes by our coaches who wanted to pump up numbers) and then they saw it all pulled away from them with the 2 losses and a few close wins. You’re going to have a tough time getting those folks into the games when they’re having fun. Just keep winning. There are 10’s of thousands of our students who didn’t make it within a hundred yards of the stadium. Let’s focus on them.

Is it weird to anyone else how quickly they decided to totally abandon football, and then bring it back? Were there no rational/level heads in the room when they were discussing dropping football? Or did they need to bury something and start fresh? Question/no info.

Awesome. Now it’s even worse though because he doesn’t even try to say abbreviated ass anymore. i heard that 1 at the end of this week’s episode. Hope that starts the resurgence!

No. Not sure. Assumed somebody got on to him about saying ass every 5 minutes. 😜

Watching Beyond The Green and I think I’ve figured something out. Several weeks back Coach Littrell stopped saying stuff like “get on their ass”, “get after their ass”, “”dominate their ass”, etc. He started saying “dominate the A” which is cute but it’s not the same. He needs to get back to the basics of ass and ass domination, and I think the guys will get their collective groove back. They’ve been playing censored football. You can’t censor your way to domination.
