That's the problem. How often does an onsides kick work? 10% of the time? So, instead of giving the defense an entire field to work with, you give them 45 yards to go? Taking chances is one thing, but giving up 30-40 yards to an offense that already has your number, is as safe as betting on snake-eyes.

Or how about an onside kick that followed a UNT score that narrowed the gap to 14-7. All momentum in the half escaped and ULaLa scored again = 21-7.

I would have to say Air Force & Navy. With about 5 minutes left in the game, AFA was leading 24-17. Navy scores quickly to tie the game. AFA goes three and out. Navy gets the ball back with no timeouts. As time expires, the Navy kicker boots the longest field goal of his career to win the ballgame.

Think back to 2002. Against TCU our RS Freshman QB, Andrew Smith, was something terrible like 13-33. Hiram Gonzalez came into the game with about two minutes left in the game and threw a 70 yard touchdown pass. Should Hiram have taken over for the rest of the season?

The Green Wave football players will be enrolling in classes, which don’t begin at Tech until Sept. 12, and using the universities athletic facilities during this season. The players and coaches will be housed in Caruthers Dorm on the university campus at first until additional housing becomes available.

Is anyone interested in watching the game this weekend in the beautiful town of New Braunfels? I have room for probably 10 people at the house. Come early if you want to "tailgate".
