  1. Where are you sitting? Welcome to the faithful!!
  2. Man, I'm really screwed up, then. I thought the FB would have been Kerrona Henderson. But, why put the bigger more physical guy there? We never use a FB to block anyway.
  3. What about James Mitchell? Has he totally fallen off of the radar?
  4. When is our freaking schedule going to come out??????????????
  5. He sounds pretty confident as well. Or he is expecting a rotation.
  6. Let me preface my statement by saying that I have never seen Woody play. If he can scramble, run it up the gut, get the ball to Quinn & Nwigwe, excite the crowd with his speed, run the option with Jamario, then put him on the field! We will never be a pass first team, so why not have another threat in the backfield. I have a feeling, as mentioned above, that whoever the QB is against UT will be running for their life all day long.
  7. And the best of the bunch, Booger, is no where to be found.
  8. Bump!!!
  9. Don't send him to jail, send him to fight Al-Qaeda!
  10. Couldn't have seen this coming. Would have figured he would have warmed the bench for one more season.
  11. Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha! Never eaten any of y'alls food. Certainly not gonna start this year!
  12. Would this be the end of Dickey ball?
  13. I was so excited I spilled my beer all over myself.
  14. Lone Star and anything put out by Shiner. The new Shiner Kolsch is great! Authentic German beer flavor. I bet it will go great with Cheddar Wursts. Fire up the grill, Pollock!
  15. Okay, my statement was a little over the top and this may have thrown you off. A few beers tends to do that to me . I never said that I don't go into the games. I have missed 3 games in the last 5 years. The only reason being that the drive from New Braunfels can sometimes be too much. The point I was trying to make, in my own convoluted way, is why do you care who comes in and who doesn't? I would love for all of the people to come in, also. Some people don't care about football. But, if you can at least lead the drunkard to the beer, they might drink. Presenting the tailgate as more than just football lures people that normally wouldn't even come close. Hopefully, a fraction of these people will eventually come in. It is a lot more likely that they come in to the stadium if they are standing in the parking lot instead of my backyard.
  16. Man, I like that list. Makes me think about the Steel Cage Tag Team match with the Von Erichs and Free Birds...
  17. I don't think he meant that at all. But, I would certainly prefer to hang out with the 4 qtr. tailgate team, rather than someone with a pompous ass attitude that believes he created school spirit.
  18. Why do y'all care so much about what other folks wanna do? If they want to stand outside and drink beer while you watch the game, what difference does that truly make to you? My wife and kids have been to almost every tailgate for the last five years. They have never been to a game. Are they parasites or moochers? Maybe they are, but I pay the bill. And for those of you who believe that you have been taken advantage of by other tailgaters, here is a bit of advice: Don't give anything away. No good deed goes unpunished. Always make sure to keep tabs on who owes you a "return freebie".
  19. Meanwhile, back on topic... The one shoed run is probably my favorite play of all time. An amazing run at a critical juncture of the ball game.
  20. Subway's Jared is a wussy!
  21. Five teams from the WAC. One from the SBC.
  22. Neither will the revolution.
  23. Come on Texas State! I would love to be able to host you Dentonites down here. W. Kentucky just means another long trip. Since most people are giving up on going to the UT games, wouldn't it be nice to make the same drive, but play the Bobcats, instead?
  24. Sure, I'll have one.
  25. I know this is will be very unpopular - so fire away. If the mid-majors will never get a fair shake, then why don't the SBC, CUSA, WAC, MWC, and MAC cut ties with the BCS and form a new alliance? Schools that are bordering on I-A (Montana, McNeese, Texas State) could be filtered into the leagues to shore up membership or create new conferences. The mid-majors will never be able to garner the same attention or revenue under current or proposed plans, so why not re-invent the wheel. People complain about the BCS system, but the new alliance could incorporate conference championships and a subsequent National Championship Tournament. This wouldn't generate BCS money, but could be more beneficial than the system currently in place.
