Our defense was solid the entire game. We were very hesitant on offense the first half and didn't attack the basket much at all. UTSA mainly ran a 3-2 zone in the first half and we just kept trying to shoot over the top of it. In the second half, we began to penetrate their zone and it opened up a lot of opportunities. We are definitely a better team attacking the basket and running the open court. What was frustrating was watching us completely slow the pace down when the game hit about the 3:00 mark and go back to the style of play we stuck with in the first half. But, we hit FT down the stretch and it all worked out. Chris Jones was great in the second half distributing the ball. Jordan Williams was all over the place and had the best all around game. As someone else posted in another thread, Alzee, Chris, and Jordan should be on the court for the bulk of the minutes. I had the pleasure of sitting next to Alzee's dad. Super nice guy. I really hope these guys are turning the corner and wish it wasn't happening so late in the season, because when they are running the floor they really look good and seem like they are having fun. The half court offense for us just doesn't work without a true inside presence.

I was there with one of my daughters. We got there late because of the crappy traffic. Had a great time though. Been a longtime since I've been able to watch the team in person.

I'm gonna be there. Anyone else? Beer before?

I have missed the last two games because of family commitments and will probably miss the game on Saturday. If we win that one I may consider taking one for the team and missing the rest of the season.

If we could run table in conference and beat the original dream team; we could have a shot. Or win the cusa tourney.

I really think both sides need quit comparing JJ to Benford. It does absolutely no good. I know that the program is no where close to being where it could be right now. It is kinda like on the football forum comparing every coach to Hayden Fry.

Speaking of Wes Allen, one of scariest sports moments I've ever seen was watching him get clobbered under the basket, go into convulsions and be driven away from the Pit in an ambulance. Anyone else remember that?

I see absolutely no way this would happen. Redshirts in basketball rarely happen, especially with crappy teams that could use some help. That being said and keeping in mind how bad we are, would it really be a good thing if they redshirted?
