I think everyone was a little hasty and calling UTSA the best team in the conference. Looks like a wide-open field to me.

Exactly right. The goal is to have more wins than any other team in our division. If the other teams lose to each other, that makes our job that much easier.

Two big "ifs" here, but if USM can beat UTSA and we beat UTSA the next week, it becomes a two-team race for the West division. We are undefeated right now. We want every other undefeated team to lose.

Since I moved to South Texas 10+ years ago, my in-laws have been so incredibly kind as to bring me a grocery sack full of German meats purchased at Metzlers. I live in the middle of German sausage country now, but still contend that Fischer's from Muenster is the finest, most authentic in the entire state and Metzlers carries a wide variety.
