Healed or not, he can't compete with Tune or Thompson on the deep ball. But he is the ultimate wildcat QB.... fast as hell, with experience as a starter. That's why I never understood it when we ran wildcat plays last year. Makes sense to get him some reps. Thread hijack: I keep reading that Dunbar will be under more pressure because Riley won't be present as a running threat. That's nuts. The deep ball will more than compensate. Not to mention Riley will still be on the field most of the time as a WR. Could be awesome.

Please bring back green helmets. Current white helmets are terrible. We should never have departed from our '03 uniforms. All green at home and all white on the road. No stripes anywhere. The right way to send off Fouts would be with some lime green flying worm throwbacks and a win over K-State. The line to buy throwback jerseys would form to the left.

If the 4 x 16-team conference thing pans out, it is BAD for us and the rest of the current non-AQ's. That will effectively be the new D-1 and the rest of us will be left holding a bag of nothing.

Rhetorical questions, for some of the posters in this thread: Where are you getting this impression that Big 10 academics are so great, and OU/Nebraska academics are so bad? Where is it written that A&M and Texas have to be in the same conference? Question for UT fans: Why the hell would you want to go to the Big 10? Arkstfan is the realignment guru and is making complete sense, as usual. I can't see Texas bolting for the Big 10 - at least not being the first to leave. What I would believe is the Pac 10 pulling Utah and Colorado. If that happens, chaos time. Pitt seems like the best fit for Big 10 expansion, assuming Notre Dame will never stoop to that level.
