  1. I'm still a Cobbs fan, but I think Phillip Graves will be one of our stars on defense this year.
  2. How 'bout the blue and copper star, but instead of "NORTH TEXAS," it says "EAGLES."
  3. Not bad. I like the color. I think it would look better with MEAN GREEN done in the "official" font. And maybe make the Texas emblem bigger.
  4. Hey, you're a better sport than I expected. Yep, Texas has more than its share of idiot rednecks too. You can say what you want about my Mean Green (and after 9/3, if you don't, some of your fellow LSU fans will), but I'll be damned if I'll let someone think I can't talk trash. Not really scaried off (or scared of) anything, except for injuries. Barring that, we really have nothing to lose playing a top BCS team. Other than some of the Nortexium addicts on this board, no one has very high expectations for that game.
  5. His comment on Muzzy that I liked: "as a return man he hits holes very quickly and with reckless abandon" Our team as a whole could use more reckless abandon. In 2002, the entire defense had it. Right now Graves might be the only one on D that does.
  6. No kidding. That's like saying Matt Leinert has limited accuracy as a passer. In all fairness to the scout, he does have this as a disclaimer:
  7. Pretty well actually. They were on the cover of USA Today earlier this week. You should pick up a copy and travel outside of Louisiana so you can find someone to read it to you. Welcome to gomeangreen.com. Thanks for stopping by.

    MGR

Let's keep our fingers crossed on the "triumvirate."
  9. At least he has a sense of humor. Put 'em in.
  10. Hmmm.... Are Andy McCollum and Larry Blakeney MGR subscribers?
  11. "Vote for me and we'll all be wearin gold plated diapers."
  12. Lot of that going around....
  13. What do we want our QB to do? Throw Aikman-like laser beam passes to Quinn and Nwigwe as they burn defenders down the field. Engineer 6-play, 80-yard touchdown drives on demand. Now, what do we NEED our QB to do? Hand off the ball. Throw a screen pass. Hand off the ball. Catch the secondary sleeping and lob one out to Quinn. Don't fumble. Call the plays. Know when to call a timeout. Don't be hurt all the damn time. Did I mention hand off the ball? Given this, I think you play the guy that has the best combination of smart and tough, that won't turn the ball over. In other words, someone like Scott Hall. Later, if another guy turns out to be a stellar passer and has had some time to PROVE it, put him in.
  14. Memories from our UT game from last year are coming back to me. Some of you green kool-aid drinkers better start preparing for a woodshed beating on 9/3. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I refuse to be heartbroken again like last year.
  15. We may have to field a team made up of 10 RB's and Johnny Quinn, and they all play both ways.
  16. Of course, once their pants are on, they make gold records.
  17. You might feel bad if it turns out he's taking care of his sick grandmother or something like that.
  18. Maybe so, but I really hope he gets the other QBs as many reps as possible. We might be better off with durable guy that can sling the ball down the field. We should have several WRs that can get to a marginally-thrown ball.
  19. I have a #43 from them, and a #20 for my 5-month old daughter. Good stuff. If you order now, you'll probably have it in time for the Tulsa game.
  20. Man, that is so awesome. People all over the country betta reco'nize now. And our SMU-alum offensive coordinator got to take a shot at SMU in the process. Ha!
  21. Pretty soon I'm gonna have to flee to New Mexico.
  22. That's also why 121 is about to become a toll road, as has been proposed with several other roads in the metroplex. It pretty much takes the same amount of money to run this state, one way or the other..... You can either choose to pay it as a tax or get nickel-and-dimed to death on toll roads, beer tax, cigarette tax, etc. Regarding the indoor facility, I agree that it would be nice to have but it's further down the list.
  23. Oh Coach Dickey, how you have mastered the art of understatement.
  24. Awesome. Another Denton County homeboy on the team. If nothing else, he should bring a Sanger contingent!
  25. I hadn't really considered it before, and I know there will be a sticker, but some all-green helmets would be pretty sweet.
