Until we laid such a turd this year and forfeited any recruiting advantage we had against Tulsa, LaTech, and the rest of the Belt, the SMU game would have just been a game that you want to win. Now it's a game we have to win.

That would be awesome. I hope it comes to fruition. If not, I think we'd be stupid not to use the 12th game as an opportunity for another home game. Schedule a 1AA and get a win. If we lose to the 1AA, well........ F us.

I agree completely. The guy I'm talking about (and it's not me... ) is a casual fan, non-alum, non-season-ticket-holder. But to me, he represents the potential season ticket holder and possible longterm supporter that has been run off by the dismal failure that we call the 2005 season. With regard to Simon v. Dickey: I became a fan in 2001, so I don't know much about Simon. But I will say that 4 SBC Championships are way greater than one SLC Championship.

EVERYONE could beat Kansas State back then. " Didn't that happen in like 1989? Maybe your board needs a fact checker. I'm as pissed as anybody about this year, and downright ashamed of our OOC history. But I think we have to ride it out with Darrell for another year. He has been successful here when very few have. I think if we get someone else we are most likely looking at another 2-3 losing seasons, and whatever momentum we have as a program can't tolerate that. I do have a friend that refuses to come to another game as long as Dickey is the coach. Hopefully that isn't widespread. If we have another losing season next year, and especially if we lose at home to SMU, then he should probably be replaced.

If you want to sit on the alumni side and still get rowdy, come on down to lower section C. The seats aren't that great, but we stand and get loud and have fun. I think we've run off some older lettermen that we used to see every game, which I feel bad about, but so be it.

I'm not abandoning anything, Koscratch. If we don't improve between now and next year, SMU will probably beat us. Just making a prediction on the outcome of the game and the reaction of our fanbase. The movie reference is lost on me, as I probably haven't seen that since it first hit the video store. I'm almost curious enough to watch it again............. or not.
