Hook this. That said, there are plenty of profs and other employees on campus at NT that didn't go to NT. Would you want them wearing their Oklahoma, Texas, or Joe Blow University crap on campus on a day when NT is in a bowl game? I wouldn't. Now, on a certain day next September, it will be a different story. Besides, green will match nicely with the brown paper bags we may have to wear to that game.

In case you're wondering, he was one of the guys calling the NO bowl on Tuesday. I may be alone in this, but I think he's a great commentator. He's not the most polished broadcaster, but he's always positive and excited about the game he's watching. Kinda like a young, no-schtick, non-burned-out version of John Madden. My opinion was reinforced last night while strug-a-ling to watch Bob Davie and that other retard phone it in last night at the GMAC Bowl.

OK, it was a hard year to be a NT fan, and TSU would have beaten us. But let's not get crazy. In a good game, our crowd noise is pretty good considering the acoustics of the stadium. TSU has steep bleachers with upper deck(s). Their game looked great on TV. Our average attendance in a 2-9 season wouldn't have FIT in their little stadium. They had a good year, we had a bad year. That's all there is to it.

I think Phillips, Meager, and Byerly should all get an even shot at QB next year, assuming they're all eligible. If it is clear that any one of them will not play QB, it would be wise to look at a different position, since they're all good athletes. Meager is fast as hell and would make a good WR if he can catch. Byerly easily has the size to be a DE or TE. If there is another Zac Taylor available that wants to come here, I say sign him. But a JUCO QB does not need to be our top priority. What we need is linemen, linemen, linemen. 2 JUCO badasses on each side of the ball, and as many HS recruits as we can haul in. Edit: BTW, we may see James Mitchell at tailback more than fullback next year, if Jamario can't loosen up that hamstring. I suspect it has never recovered since he missed the ASU game last year. Somebody needs to enroll that guy in a yoga class.

Pretty unprofessional, if true, but I doubt you will be able to get an angry mob together to run the great Georgio out of town. But I am curious as to what RV said to you on the phone, and what you said that prompted his reaction. Anyway, I appreciate your enthusiasm.
