I went to a Ft. Worth Cats game on Friday the 13th a few years ago. They had a promo that night, that if the Cats got 13 runs, they would draw a seat number and give $13K to a fan. It happened. When they awarded the check to the winner, they announced that Cats ower Carl Bell, who made his fortune in the insurance business, had sold the Cats organization an insurance policy against that happening. Pretty funny. BTW, the Cats just won their new league. Go Cats!

OK, this weekend was a great win that I do not want to diminish. But this 11-1 talk needs to stop. Even if it is just "why the hell not" talk.

Lots of good points. If the 3-3-5 is hard to read, maybe that will be less of a factor with a QB that likes to (and has the skills to) wing it. There were some Tulsa fans griping on their board that the new DC doesn't know how to run the 3-3-5, and they think that's why BYU put up so much offense against them. I think we'll see a more productive Jamario in the first half. SMU sold out to stop him early, and when they were forced to account for a good QB too, he had more room to run. It's becoming apparent that we have 3 guys on the field that have to be accounted for at all times. If you try to double-team two of them, the 3rd one is going to run wild. As far as how we match up with Tulsa...... this early in the season, who the hell really knows? It's hard to say how good Texas, BYU, or SMU (or SFA for that matter) is. Tulsa beat us like a rented mule last year. We're obviously better than we were. They might be just as good as they were, but they did lose TE Garrett Mills to the NFL, and he put up 750 yards and 12 touchdowns against us.

Be patient. When Woody gets a real start, gets in sync w/ Jamario, and starts finding Nwigwe and Jackson downfield instead of just Quinn, this thing is really going to get fun.

Just wanted to bump this and say that Big Dawg called it. It was a little frustrating when their starting tailback was getting all the 6 yard carries he wanted, but from the box score I guess it looked worse than it was. Awesome game.

I yell so much during the games that some of the older people that used to have season tickets near me have moved. I hammer the refs almost every time they call something that doesn't go our way. Any time we get a personal foul penalty, I yell at Dickey. But I NEVER boo our players.

Call the ticket office. If you get the recorded message, don't bother listening to it, just push zero. Then you can talk to someone and order.
