  1. Hell, let's just all go jump off the high-five bridge because Fake Lonnie says we should. Never mind..... he'll just spew a few paragraphs of eloquent venom to get people riled up and won't come back to defend it. I think we saw the coming-out of a pretty solid QB on Saturday. After Vizza's second INT, I told my wife that I was going turn off the game if Meager didn't come back in. I stuck with it, and Vizza played very well in the second half. I do have to agree that he lobs some passes up there. But overall, he throws downfield much better than Meager. The play where he handed off to Jamario, but didn't, was embarrassing..... ....but not as embarrassing as the defense. I thought we had something when the DL got in there and got a few sacks. Then I remembered that ULL has 3 OL starters hurt. Then Desormeaux and Fenroy figured out that if they run straight ahead for 5 yards, they are guaranteed a TD if Aaron Weathers can't get the angle on them. I can't decide what the worst part of our D is: 1) Pass coverage, although that wasn't a factor against run-only ULL, 2) inability to tackle, or 3) inability to shake a block. Game ball goes to Brandon Jackson for a hell of a Johnny Quinn imitation.
  2. Tell you what... I'll sell you that bridge for $1000, and you can kick those idiots off of it. ...Seriously though, I've lived in Denton my whole life and never seen that. I don't know what the context of the story was, but it sounds like someone trying to be funny.
  3. My 2-yr-old got a hold of it. Makes for good artistic expression right now though.
  4. Who cares who the QB is right now. Roger Freaking Staubach couldn't win with our D.
  5. Hell, he has to go a long way to sniff what Bliel did, and a year or two ago we were all calling for his head too.
  6. "Don't call it a comeback!"
  7. The $10 lot filled up and was probably closed by 3:00. The blue lot was still dead-ass empty, and was not nearly full when I walked into the game at 5:30. They need to re-draw the line and designate some more space for the $10 lot. That's where you can count on people (me!) to show up.
  8. With all due respect to Ray Wylie Hubbard, I like beans in my chili.
  9. I ate a bratwurst with kraut, hot dog, about 6 hot wings, several rice krispy treats, several pig-in-a-blankets, oatmeal raisin cookies, potato chips, tortilla chips, carrots, celery, cream cheese dip, and guacamole. When I got into the game, I had an extra long corn dog, BBQ sandwich w/ chips, 2 cokes, a slice of pizza, and part of a funnel cake. At least, that's what I remember eating. I did have quite a few beers too.
  10. Not this week, at least not in lower C. My seats are there, and my friends had to go to lower B. Should be a good crowd!
  11. My anthem....
  12. Paging Quoner.... Innuendo-laden post needed.....
  13. Dayumn. Is 700 yards out of the question?
  14. I can't believe it, but I'm chomping at the bit to play FAU this year. It makes me so sick that we haven't beaten them. That ends in 13 days. Hey Schnellenberger, Duck!
  15. You got that wrong. It's F_U.
  16. We have a golden opportunity tomorrow to argue the point.
  17. It sure does. But hey, I'd like to be wrong on this one.
  18. I can't believe they're letting him in the door. They must really be hurting for attendance.
  19. So we've already gone from assuming that the OU debacle was all part of Dodge's scheme to laughing at the irony that it's pretty much the same as Dickey's philosophy... I'm not even sold that it was part of the scheme. I just think we had no defensive scheme at all and got smoked.
  20. I may be mistaken here, but I think if you play one snap you burn your "freshman" redshirt. Now, if you play a couple games and get hurt, you should be able to get a medical redshirt. Unless your name is Zach Muzzy.
  21. The best part about this post is that you said "keep containment" instead of "keep contain." How refreshing. Thank you for that.
  22. Who cares? Look at those shorts!
  23. Wishful thinking.
  24. I think part of that is due to the fact that everyone is high on Dodge right now. We blamed everything on Dickey before, and now we've replaced him with God's Gift to Offense. We got smoked worse (numerically) than we ever did under Dickey, so it must be the players, not the coach. We'll see. If our defensive coordinator doesn't manage to make some game-time adjustments, we're in deep doodoo.
  25. Yep. No defensive adjustments. I don't know why we didn't do something to help out Roman or whoever was on Malcolm Kelly. I got suckered in by the "9 returning defensive starters." I forgot that our defense was bad last year. Why should it be better now?
