Man I really hate the internet.

Well, the game isn’t even over. My green Texas flag got stolen right off the pole AGAIN. Parked on the east edge of the blue lot. It has my name on it. If you stole a flag and see a name on the binding in black sharpie, it’s mine. Would be happy to have it back, no questions asked.

Maybe they can get The Old Grey Wolf and Lou Diamond Phillips into a bidding war for stadium naming rights.

More like "completely made up" than incorrect, but I'm not sure what the point was. Seems like he could have worked some jokes in, at least. The TI plant was built in the 80's, and you are right that TI never really did anything there. My Dad worked for TI from '68 to about '92. The only time I've been to the missile base/observatory was in 98 or 99. A neighbor was a film student at NT and used my car for a zombie movie he was shooting at that site. Never did get to see the film but I sure would like to.

I couldn't remember much about last year's game at Ruston, except feeling like they were as good as us and we got a little lucky. So I just watched the highlights. They missed a go-ahead 47 yard field goal with about 2 min left. We made a first down or two after that and ran out the clock. Fine and Jeffrey Wilson (especially) were terrific in that game. Watching it now though, I just can't picture our current defense giving up the kind of plays we gave up last year. Our 2018 defense would have had 3 or 4 picks. I think this will be our toughest test yet and I'm glad it's a home game. But our guys will be ready and Apogee will be rocking.

Yes, our conference scheduling is less than optimum, but overall this is a million times better than 2015. No Thursday games (at least not yet), no Halloween game, and no home game after Thanksgiving. SMU at home! Oh yeah, and we actually have six home games. Huge improvement.

Someone stole the two-tone green Texas flag that I have flown at my tailgate for the past 10+ years. They stood on the side of my truck and took it right off the flagpole. Footprints right on the top of the bed. If you know this person, please guilt trip the hell out of them. I just want it back. No questions asked. Thank you.

Attendance-wise, this has failure written all over it. General Local Football Fan will definitely not be there. I love Halloween with my kids. I haven't missed a home game since 2001 and I am seriously thinking about skipping this one. Students will probably do a decent job of showing up, so it may look OK on TV.

According to meangreensports.com: "The Athletic Department and the North Texas Police are working to determine the hours that the Fouts Field parking lots will be available for tailgating on Tuesday. That lot is extensively used by students and faculty on weekdays and would normally be full most of the day on Tuesday, but it will be closed and emptied of non-game traffic earlier on Tuesday." Are there any rumors about what time the Fouts lot will open for tailgating?
