  1. Hiring Lieberman would certainly make a PR splash. This search is getting a lot more interesting than I thought it would.
  2. You weren't in the Radisson, that was Section E row 40! It only SEEMED like you were across the highway
  3. KA-BOOM!!!!!
  4. Maybe we could petition Hawaii to give it to us just to pi$$ schmoo off
  5. We might actually start selling some tickets to the game if she was hired!
  6. It IS a great place to run but I think they are having as much a problem getting the funding as NT is for the stadium so don't worry about dodging trains just yet. thread hijack.
  7. Yeah, never worked for Pelphrey
  8. I believe when the FedEx Forum was built in Memphis the city applied for federal funds saying it was a transportation hub. There was supposed to be a bus depot on the site. If I remember right, it's "technically" there but it doesn't get used.
  9. • North Texas and Troy have faced off five times, and the Mean Green is averaging 20.4 assists in those games. NT had a season-high 19 assists in both of the meetings this year, and has set its season highs in each of the last two seasons against the Trojans. Yeah I'll be sure to "Watch for" all this in the game tonight.
  10. OK given that it's the offseason, if you DID get this job what would you change, add, etc....?
  11. you have GOT to be kidding. (If I'm guessing correctly of course )
  12. I remember the exact same thing about the A&M game. Announcing a new record for home attendance and the aggies getting a laugh from that because it was a virtual "maroon out". No more TX Stadium, they come to the track stadium in Denton or we don't play at all!
  13. Tap the brakes on that one a little bit. Nothing wrong with Tech's campus or Ruston in general. I do think RV would have a much easier time getting things done here than at Tech, but it's more due to politics in that state than anything else. He also won't find the President down there to be too trustworthy, but hey he would get to rack up the frequent flier miles traveling to conference games! Check this out from today's paper......... ADVERTISEMENT Tech men's long Hawaii trip means hitting books, then court By Nick Deriso nderiso@thenewsstar.com RUSTON — The Louisiana Tech men's 4,032-mile odyssey to Honolulu, which began with a team flight Thursday, presents challenges having little to do with basketball. "There is eight hours on a plane, and the time change is a big deal," said first-year Tech coach Kerry Rupp. "We have to make sure we have our legs, and bring good energy and enthusiasm."
  14. Probably right but then again what a great problem to have? Hmmmm....which talented young QB should run the offense? If NT hold all it's commits I can't wait to see what's coming in the next couple of years!
  15. Right there with you guys. According to what I was sent, my 8 are going to cost me $1500, but if I split them up it would only be $1000. Looks like I'm movin over a section!
  16. Not worried at all because according to an earlier post it's a done deal unless he decides to go somewhere else.
  17. He's still with the Mavs but wanted to take a year away from the bench to watch his son play his senior year. I want to say he goes to Hebron or some school in that area.
  18. where is FCS Atlantic?
  19. So who will hire their coach first....USA or SMU?
  20. Maybe they should offer free wi-fi for a day so we can all "work" from the stands.
  21. I saw this yesterday driving back from New Orleans. Laughed out loud. There is no way you can miss it coming in to Monroe from the east. I'm sure the Bama fans will love it.
  22. It was better than 13 but I don't think there were 25K there. the Memphis side really filled up. The FAU crowd reminded me of the Cincy crowd back in 2002. The difference this year was having more "locals" there. The end zones had a lot of people (relatively speaking) and the 2nd level above the Memphis side had a decent crowd. I would guess between 18-20K really there.
  23. Except for this: According to the program, TS is career 232-275. Kurt Budke is only 34-34 in three years at OSU, but his career record -- can this possibly be right? -- is listed as 387-81. Astonishing. Budke was EXTREMELY succesful at Trinity Valley CC and then moderately so at La Tech. I think he won a couple of juco national championships at TV if I remember right.
