  3. I had the same question as many of you did about Booger, so wrote Eric Capper to find out what the criteria for the HOF is. Here is my email and the response. From: Brett Tulloss Sent: Wednesday, August 03, 2011 2:53 PM To: Capper, Eric; Bartolotta, Steven; Howard, Stephen Subject: Criteria for Hall of Fame Gentleman, Just wondering what are the criteria for the NT HOF. I have no problem with the people selected, just wondering what Brandon "Booger" Kennedy has to do to get recognized by the Athletic Department of his alma mater. He was the anchor of the defense for North Texas' first three Sun Belt titles from 2001-03, and set the North Texas record with 61 tackles-for-loss in his career. He was the most dominant defensive player in the Sun Belt Conference for those years and gave fans someone to be proud of. Again, I have no problem with the people selected. Just wondering why Brandon Kennedy was not selected. Brett Tulloss Pick "Booger" for the 2012 NT Hall of Fame Brett, The hall of fame committee accepts nominations for inductees from anyone and they go through the process of gathering all relevant information for the potential candidates. I am not on the committee, but I can tell you that Brandon Kennedy has been discussed at length in those meetings and the committee is very well aware of his outstanding career. I can’t speak for anyone on the committee as to why he was not selected, but I’m sure that his name will continue to come up in those discussions. As a point of reference, the committee is made up of a very diversified group of former letterwinners from various decades as well as former and current athletic department staff members. Hope this helps. Eric Capper Senior Associate Athletics Director University of North Texas www.MeanGreenSports.com
  4. Can you say pay check. And Craig is proud of his Mean Green roots, but he's paid to cheer for Tu.
  5. He wasn't dogging on NT. He was stating a fact.
  6. I love how much this board hates LOOSING.
  7. AND drex with by Complete and Total KNOCKOUT! Hurley was the biggest problem that NT Athletics has ever had to overcome!!!!!!!!
  8. Doogie Anderson is NT Greatness. He and Mark Followill are setting the bar for recent NT grads. He and Ld Mclain do great job on TXA football.
  9. Sounds like an intelligent young man. I wish him good luck at Wake and in his mecical career.
  10. TXA 21 has a contract to show the Big 12 (-2). They get pretty good ratings from what I understand.
  11. The Moron sportscaster on WFAA last night talked about having a No-hitter at 4 2/3 innings. It's his fault.
  12. That's as stupid as attempting to steal TV's from a hotel!
  13. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! That was one of the most epic sporting events I've witnessed. Abby Wambauch's header was a thing of beauty, and Hope Solo was incredible. Can't wait for Wednesday. Bring on the Frenchie's.
  14. If all this is true, and I'm not doubting your figures, why is there such a budget shortfall and why are they cutting money from the schools?
  15. O-On the Tube-Like we mentioned earlier, the SBC will get a chance to restructure their contract after this year. If I were commissioner, I would try to hook on with the new NBC college sports. Sure the time slots might be crappy, but with NBC striking out in landing a big contract so far, they may be able to squeeze in and at least increase their exposure. A secondary “outside-the-box” contract with a channel like Mark Cuban’s HDNet could also help. The key-don’t wait for the phone to ring, approach broadcasters and be creative! And yes, I am applying for the commissioners job should Waters step down.
  16. Sounds an awful like what NT's coach said about Darius Carey. I don't see anything wrong with either comment!
