  1. Former basketball coach Jimmy Gales is in Methodist Charlton Medical Center in South Dallas. He was admitted Saturday and is still undergoing test.

Went by to see him yesterday. He's in good spirits, but he's still waiting to find out whats wrong. Send him get well e message. He is in room 3312. If you send a message be sure you select the hospital as Charlton and please put the room.

  2. I haven’t had a chance to mention it on the blog until now, but there was a familiar name that came up in the NBA Developmental League Draft this week.

Former UNT guard Michael Sturns was taken in the fifth round by the Austin Toros.

There is no way Sturns make the Toros team. They are the NBDL affiliate of the Spurs. And Spurs are built on defense and sharing the ball. And unless Sturns has completely changed his ball hogging ways and learned to at least pretend he's playing defense, he won't see the end of traing camp. Hope I'm wrong, but smart money says I'm not.

  3. I don't think the computers are supposed to take point differential into their equations to prevent teams running up the score for no reason.

They don't but like they said on College Game Day yesterday morning. The human polls carry more weight.

If NT beats UTEP by 65, UTSA by 30 (would have been 70 like NT 90 said) and Tulsa by 55 (we owe those bastards an embarrassing loss), it might move up to around 40. But I don't care if NT wins everyone by 1, I'll be happy.
