  1. LMAO!!! How can a linebacker (Santiago) make a tackle when Lineberry has put him on his ASS!!!
  2. NT needs to recruit Offensive and Defensive lineman every year. They are the hardest position to hit on. A great HS lineman, might not be great in college. That's why you have so many TE's being shifted to the Line. NT also needs to recruit a punter/kicker.
  3. And Still No Mention of Dylan Lineberry or the Outland Trophy?
  4. There is NO WAY the team loses to La-Monroe at home. We Don't lose conference games at home. I'm worried about the MUTS and the Howard Schellenberger coaced Florida Atlantic. Both of these Conference games are on the road.
  5. It has been almost a week since this was released. It was in the DMN & DRC on Monday, because I sent it to them. It is still not on the official website.
  6. From DRC UNT's Lineberry lands on Outland watch list 08:03 AM CDT on Monday, July 4, 2005 North Texas junior offensive lineman Dylan Lineberry is one of 36 players who has been named to the 2005 Outland Trophy Award Watch List. The award goes to the top offensive or defensive lineman in college football each season. Lineberry started at guard last season for UNT and was named the Newcomer of the Year in the Sun Belt Conference. He was also a second-team all-conference selection.
  7. From DMN Linemen from UT, UNT and OU on Outland watch list 12:47 AM CDT on Monday, July 4, 2005 From Staff and Wire Reports The Football Writers Association of America has announced the 2005 Outland Trophy watch list. Thirty-six linemen from around the country – including Texas offensive tackle Jonathan Scott and defensive tackle Rodrique Wright, Oklahoma guard Davin Joseph and North Texas guard Dylan Lineberry – have been nominated for consideration in the preseason.
  8. I believe it is Charter Communications. You can reach them at: Charter Communications (940) 321-6464 (940) 566-2901 205 Industrial St Denton, TX 76201 Here is the Webpage for Charter
  9. Kansas guard J.R. Giddens is leaving the program, a month after he was stabbed during a bar fight. Giddens is from John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City. The former McDonald’s All-American was named Co-MVP (along with Deron Williams of Team USA) of the 2003 Global Games in Dallas. Giddens, the Jayhawks' top returning scorer, is recovering from a knife wound he sustained in Lawrence last month. Giddens, a junior, will transfer, but has not decided on a new school. Giddens and five others were injured in a fight outside the Moon Bar on May 19. An artery in Giddens' right calf was cut and the wound required 30 stitches. Police have received conflicting accounts from those involved and witnesses about what led to the altercation. If Giddens transfers within the Big 12 it would cost him his junior year of eligibility. If he transfers to a school outside the Big 12, he would still have to sit out a season, but would have two years of playing time remaining. The 6-foot-5 Giddens averaged just over 10 points last season and was criticized for his inconsistency and poor defense.
  10. I like Eric Capper and he has been helpful to me as well. I think he does the best job of any SID we've had at NT, but missing something this big is inexcusable. I mean it has been out there since Thursday. The FWAA website that should be checked daily in June and July, since that’s when they announce the watch list. A media relations director should know this. I’m not saying it’s Capper’s fault, but it’s certainly the Sports Information Department’s responsibility. I’ve forwarded the release from the FWAA to Rick V, Eric Capper, Brett Vito, The Dallas Morning News’ college editor Mark Konradi, The Dallas Morning News’ Sports Desk and Russ Goodall, the DRC sports editor. I wanted to make sure this got in the paper as soon as possible. I do not know a contact at the Star-telegram to send the release to. And per the release the Outland trophy is for the best Offensive or Defensive lineman.
  11. Question (Greg Dawkins): I see where our conference has a tie in with Sirius Radio and I was just wondering if all the games will be broadcast or what factors will determine the games to be aired. I am a Sirius subscriber and look forward to hearing Troy Trojan Football on the radio (I do not have a local station in my area that carries Troy). Commissioner Wright Waters: Greg, is Sirius Radio not just the greatest thing ever invented? All schools have the option to broadcast over Sirius; we hope they will take advantage so that their broadcast can be heard around the world. We broadcast all games from the basketball tournament in Denton this year and received maybe a hundred letters, emails and notes, saying it was nice to be able to hear the games. ____________________________________________________________ Does anybody know if North Texas is going to be on Sirius Radio? If not we need to find out why.
  12. I have an autograped Scott Hall Jersey and an signed mini helmet by Jamario Thomas. I also purchased Cody Spencer's Game-worn Jersey from the Blue & Gray all-star game. The Gray's overall MVP was Cody Spencer, a North Texas linebacker who had a game-high 13 tackles. I donated it to the Athletic Department for the Athletic Center.
  13. Trying to figure out why we can't find this out from our athletic department. It was released on June 29 (Thursday). Our Sports Information Director (Eric Capper) is falling down on the job. This is unexcuseable. This is big news for Dylan and the University. It makes us seem like we don't care. I'm getting sick of this, somebody's head needs to roll.
  14. My bad!!! I hard the number 40,000 somewhere! But 100,000 in the six county Metroplex make's it even more embarrassing. That's a 0.0032 percent market penetration. That is embarrassing!!!!
  15. That's the point! We have more than 40,000 alum in the state and we only have 320 people who are willing to shell out an additional $30 for a NT plate. No wonder we can't find NT merchandise anywhere! 0.008 percent saturation. Boy if I was a manufacturer, I'd be beating down the door to produce something with that type of market penetration. I'm tired of complaining. I guess I just should face the fact that our administation, alumni and fan base are second tier, at best. Oh well!!!
  16. I had FFR check with Greenstock's old supplier & printer. The best price was $3.50 per shirt. That's a Green Shirt with a White Eagle logo, either the head or diving eagle. Or a white NORTH TEXAS or MEAN GREEN. That's $17,500 we would need before it could even be done. And that's using the logo without the Athletic Department's appoval. I don't even want to think what it would cost to go through. I say if we want to do it get permission from Harry and Lorenzo and do a gomeangreen.com shirt.
  17. BUY!!! "The Big Show" will surprise at LSU & MTSU.
  18. That's a great idea PMG. $2.98 per t-shirt without the printing.
  19. I'm wondering what post was PMG's first poll. The over/under is his 12th. I'll take the under. Also I wonder how many of Plumm's more than 6,400 posts are polls. The over/under is 262. I'll take the over. What do you think?
  20. Harry & Cerebus are just a little over half way there with $270. Come on Mean Green Nation, don't let the MUTS outdue us. With all of the people on this board $500 should not be a big thing. I'm unemployed and I still donated.
  21. Byron Gross was awesome. I had a picture of him in his linebacker stance with those cold-as-steel eyes looking through his facemask. Glad I wasn’t a running back that had to play against Byron. He was a great football player and a heck of a nice guy.
