  1. I think they should have put North Texas in both endzones and the Talon holding the stacked Mean Green at the 50.
  2. DALLAS - The Mavericks' bleak week is about to turn a little brighter. The Mavs have scheduled a news conference at 10:30 this morning at American Airlines Center to announce the signing of swingman Doug Christie and center DeSagana Diop to free-agent contracts. Those two signings will complete a five-day whirlwind that included waiving veteran swingman Michael Finley, who cleared waivers Thursday. More
  3. Sounds like he's got his head on straight. He could be the answer to our prayers.
  4. NHL moves to OLN LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Even back when the National Hockey League was still playing games, its TV ratings weren't exactly stratospheric. But telecasts on ESPN and ESPN2 could at least draw a million viewers, maybe 2 million on a good night during the playoffs. If an NHL game pulls in 2 million people on OLN, the league's new cable home, it will be a record for the channel. More
  5. Hansen is a horses asses drunk, He would rather do a piece on the the Dallas Sidekicks offseason program than do a positive piece on North Texas Football.
  6. I'd book the sitter! There will be a field, a cooker and some tables. There might be a football, but there won't be anything to watch unless you go over to the Scrimmage!
  7. I wonder if murder would affect his playing time?
  8. Call Gabe at 1-800-UNT-2366 and Ask.
  9. I'm not saying that LSU is going to lose, but I don't see them winning by 46 points. I'll lower my voice. PUT YOUR MONEY Where YOUR MOUTH IS if you really believe in your score.
  10. I'll take $100 on that. If you're giving LSU and 46. I also take $100 on the under of a total of 58. Please, put your money where your mouth is!!!!!
  11. Mills & Davidson are both on the team and suited up today.
  12. There is so Cullens or Davison on the team this year.
  13. BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU lost running back Alley Broussard during its first fall scrimmage Saturday. Broussard injured his right knee during the three-hour workout at Tiger Stadium and is out for the season. Broussard, a preseason second-team All-Southeastern Conference selection going into 2005, rushed for a team-best 867 yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2004. He set the LSU single-game record with 250 yards rushing last year against Ole Miss.(Click link for more)
  14. That was the turf that was just pulled up in the movie. It wasn't real grass. It's been 30 years since fouts had real grass.
  15. "Power, Passion, and Glory," the documentary by Dallas filmmaker Ken Heckmann about the Celina Bobcats, who became the winningest team in Texas history during their dramatic 2002 season. Heckman captures it all on on film. "Power, Passion, and Glory" is what TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL is about. There are problems with teenagers growing up, but this film shows what a positive attitude and hard work can do. It is a good bet that none of these kids will play on Sunday or even on a national stage on Saturday, but that does not take away from the message of this movie. It only enforces it. The only thing I did not like about the film was it was TOO SHORT. "Friday Night Lights" is a good movie, but "Power, Passion, and Glory" is a GREAT FILM. The film pulls back the curtain on the fervor that Texas High School football creates. The film is narrated by veteran sportscaster Pat Summerall. "POWER, PASSION & GLORY" is now for sale at Walmart Supercenters in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana & Tennessee. If you are in one of these states, please consider buying it there for just $16.96. Or you can always go on-line to www.Walmart.com, click on movies, and type "Power, Passion & Glory" in the search box. That way you don't even have to be near a Walmart to get in on this great deal. And remember, it really does make a terrific Christmas gift for any sports fan. We just learned last night that if Walmart sells enough DVD's this week, they will take the movie nationwide. Which means we could get this inspirational and motivational movie to a lot more football fans. Good for us, yes, but more importantly, good for the country! This movie is perfect for families -- it contains no profanity or gratuitous violence, and is the kind of film America needs more of -- a powerful message, a great story and a fitting tribute to a great sport.
  16. Let me get this straight, a politician told a lie. Say it ain't so. The world is going to stop turning.
  17. How many schools in the Sun Belt have indoor practice facilities? That's who we're competing with. Does La Tech have an indoor facility, how about Tulsa. How about TCU or SMU. 1. There are more pressing needs than an indoor practice facility. Like getting our assistant coaches more money. Currently they are at or near the bottom of the conference in salary. 2. We need a new stadium. 3. We need to fill the stadium on a regular bases. 4. We need to expand the season ticket holders. There are plenty more, but this site does not have the band width to tell what is more important than an indoor practice facility.
  18. The Snake Pit has been the volleyball facility, for a long time. But I agree, the new facility should help the program prosper.
  19. If RF is Ramon Flanigan. I'm not sure if was to invovels as he was busy looking for/ interviewing for other head coaching jobs. I do know that Dickey was heavily involved in recruiting Steve Warren.

  22. Christie weighing future with Mavs In the STAR-TELEGRAM, Dwain Price writes that "Doug Christie wants to sign a one-year, $3 million contract offer from the Mavericks when he becomes a free agent next week, according to a league source." But "he won't do anything, though, before he and his wife visit the area." If Christie signs, he "would replace Michael Finley, whom the Mavs are expected to waive by Monday, barring an unexpected trade."
  23. The new video room is very impressive. They could burn DVD's easier than they could make videos.
