Shaft, You are less intelligent than you posts make you seem, if you believe K-State will turn its program over to someone who has a losing record in lower mid-level D1-A football.

Repeat after me. We are not very good!

We'll be lucky to have that Nov. 26!!

Plumm, GGII says he's done with NT athletics as long as Flanigan and Dickey are employed in Denton. So enjoy your talk with him at homecoming & the season finale.

Mendoza isn't playing. Holman's only significant playing time was in the NOB. Branch started on offense for three years, Miller played behind Cardwell and Pruitt, while Hutchinson could not beat out Tommy Harrison, who many on this board considered the worst DE in the nation last year. I for one will not miss Covington, Branch or Hutchinson at all. They are personal fouls waiting to happen. If Covington had any asperations of playing in the NFL, they disappeared in the opener when MuTs burned him over & over. Not trying to make excuses, I agree WE JUST AREN'T VERY GOOD!!!

It would be comical, if it weren't true!!

We're just not very good this year.

Then be prepared to be pissed off. This is DD we're talking about!

Allen , Wes - 6'3 - G Brown , Jamal - 6'0 - G Davis , Chris - 6'5 - F Erskin , Deginald - 6'6 - F Funchess , Sam - 6'8 - F Gilbert , Brandon - 6'8 - F Hardie , Dominic - 6'4 - G Jones , Anthony - 6'3 - G Mangrum , Kenneth - 6'4 - G Nelson , Faheem - 6'7 - F Tennell , Dexter - 6'6 - G Williams , Calvin - 5'11 - G I hope this years class is better than Trilli's highly-rated class, which is listed above. I believe Williams, Funchess, Davis and Mangrum are the ones who used all of their eligibility at NT. Allen got hurt, Erskin transfered, Tennell quit. I don't remember any of the others playing any amount of time. I want to give credit to Cooley for the list of players.

DMN blurb JAMO 50-50 change to play Saturday

A big time program would rest it's star RB, but this is North Texas, where we can't decide if we're big time or not. -
Count me in for one!

Covington and Branch should not see the field for the final three games. The playing time should go to Cox and Oubre. Covington and Branch are 2 of the most undisciplined players we have ever had at NT. They are good for at least 2 unsportsmanlike penalties a game. They do nothing but talk trash and draw stupid penalties. I can't think of 1 positve thing either one has done this season.

At least our defense might be able to stop their 2nd string QB ___________________________________________________________ From South Florida Sun-Sentinel Thumbs down for Embick Senior QB's injury ends college career on downbeat note By Ted Hutton Staff Writer Posted November 7 2005 Florida Atlantic's disappointing season just got worse. The Owls (1-8) learned early Sunday that senior quarterback Danny Embick would be out for the final two games after breaking the thumb on his throwing hand during Saturday's 28-14 loss at Troy. "I knew before the X-ray that there was a problem," said Embick, who was taken to a hospital in Weston after the team's plane arrived in Fort Lauderdale. "It was news I was expecting, but it takes a while to sink in." Embick, who transferred from West Virginia and had been a backup for two seasons before taking over this season, was one of the team's leaders, playing with a toughness that won the respect of his teammates and opposing coaches. "He's a very physical football player, a very emotional player and very accomplished quarterback. He absolutely is worth more than half the offense of our football team," coach Howard Schnellenberger said. Embick injured his thumb late in the third quarter when he hit it against the helmet of a Troy player after throwing a pass. Embick tried to continue, but once he realized he couldn't throw, he pulled himself out of the game. "It's been a physical year for me, so I guess I am lucky to have made it this far," Embick said. "I never thought it would be something little like the thumb, though." Embick, who is from Jupiter and played at Dwyer, was forced to scramble on many plays; FAU's inexperienced offensive line never could handle the blitzes defenses have used in every game. FAU has allowed 30 sacks, with Embick being the one hit most of the time. Embick also took frequent blows after he released the ball, and absorbed tackles after runs. Embick completed 120 of 225 passes for 1,531 yards and threw for 11 touchdowns with 10 interceptions this season, and ran for 228 yards. Embick said the biggest disappointment is not being able to play his final game as a senior. "To be with those guys one last time, it's going to be hard not being part of that," Embick said. FAU will now be looking for its quarterback of the future. The leading candidate is sophomore Sean Clayton, a transfer from Michigan State who moved ahead of redshirt freshman McKinson Souverain on the depth chart midway through the season. "[Clayton] has not had any quality time at all, so this will be starting at scratch for him. It will be a tough indoctrination but great opportunity for him to gain experience," Schnellenberger said. Schnellenberger said Souverain will also get playing time. FAU hosts North Texas (2-6, 2-2) on Saturday in a game that has been moved to Dolphins Stadium because damage from Hurricane Wilma has made Lockhart Stadium unplayable. Patrick is the ONLY reason I did not mail my season tickets back to the Athletic Department this morning. He is a class act!

He is also the offensive coordinator, who has one of the lowest ranked offenses in the nation this year, with the past 2 national rushing champions. He also spent the last off season looking for another job rather than doing the job he was being paid for. He is in charge of one of the most fertile recruiting areas in the NATION and NT has signed only one recruit out of his area in the past 2 years and he has not been able to step on the field. Ramon proved his worth to the program when he attacked Silver. -- NOTHING.

So if the SunBelt has no 6 game winners...

SCOREBOARD MTSU has NEVER beaten North Texas. You had your best shot this year and your team did not have the GUTS to do it. Face it, we OWN your ASS!!!
