  9. Or if you want to help the victims of Katrina, you could just send $50 to the Red Cross and you'd have room for a real collectible.

  12. Somebody should send this to Flannigan!
  13. Cerebus, This a discussion board. It is meant for open and intelligent discussion. While the intelligence of this discussion might be questioned, this is what this board is for. Please don't delete this post like someone did with my post on the Thanks Jamal thread.
  14. Flannigan is not in charge of the Dallas Area! He is in charge of DISD, which has numerous and abundant talent in it, from Class 5A to Class 3A.
  15. You calling Dickey "the Ole Ball Coach" is BLASPHEMY. The Ole Ball Coach is a nickname coined for one of the greatest offensive minds in College football, Steve Spurrier. You have condemned yourself to football hell, for mentioning Spurrier and Dickey in the same breath.
  16. UNT falls despite Cobbs' big finish DENTON – Over the course of his career, Patrick Cobbs rewrote North Texas' record book and posted a host of memorable performances at Fouts Field. Cobbs came up with another big effort in his final college game Saturday, rushing for 180 yards on 37 carries to reach two impressive milestones. But he couldn't help the Mean Green avoid a 31-24 loss to Arkansas State that finished UNT's season at 2-9, 2-5 in the Sun Belt Conference. ASU running back Antonio Warren barreled into the end zone from a yard out with 30 seconds left to give the Indians the win in front of 7,691. CLICK ON HEADLINE FOR FULL STORY
  17. This is the Texas offense that could not expose the Number 117 pass defense in the nation. I know USC's defense is ranked a little higher and I think its offense is a little bit better than one led by a redshirt freshman QB. Texas points allowed only 14.3 points a game, until yesterday. A&M passed the 14 point mark early in the second quarter. Colrado is in trouble next week, but I hope the Rose Bowl is a great game with USC winning. Texas is going to have to wait a little longer to get rid of the comma.
  18. Patrick Cobbs 180-yard performance against Arkansas State moves him into very select group of collegiate football players. His career total of 4,050 makes him the 69th player in the history of college football. He ends his career as the North Texas and the Sun Belt Conference’s all-time leading rusher. He is only the second Mean Green running back ever to rush for more than 1,000 yards in more than one season. He eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the season on a 26-yard first quarter run. Patrick deserved a better senior season, than he had. He is up there with Joe Greene & Steve Ramsey as far as being a legend in North Texas Football. It's time to retire NUMBER 43.
  19. The quote should read. "Any time you lead the nation in rushing and play for a BCS school, you have to have at least an outside shot at being a finalist. " Unfortunately this quote is true.
  20. I believe he's talking abour Will Ferrell's character in OLD SCHOOL.
  21. He was gone after the loss to NT in the opener. The only question was would he finish out the season. Maybe Dickey will leave his difficult situation for a better one at MTSU?
  22. Any one but Northeast Louisiana (ULM). I hated them when we were I-AA and you didn't have to know how to read to get into school there. I still don't like them since they've upgraded their academic standards. You've got to be able to read and make a ledgible mark for signing your name.
  23. June Jones took his Run-n-Shoot West, he is the head coach at Hawaii. Check out who his TE's coach. Or his Defensive Coordinator.
  24. He is/was playing in the AFL. He converted to Islam and changed his name to Umar Muhammad. He was with Tampa Bay last year. Click on his name for his career AFL stats.
