Also everyone's favorite SMU will play UCF at the same time on ESPN...game has bowl implications for SMU. It will be very cold!
And gets in free

That's cold!
But True!!!

I think Saturday Spirit's response was probably the closest to being true.

Take this waste of space to the UT board. North Texas is going to a bowl game after it's first winning season in a long time and people are wasting time talking about about Mack Brown and Bob Stoops. WTF!!!! Is it any wonder why the NT fan base is considered a joke? The only thing that will change the perception of the NT football program is a bowl win and then following it up with a no more than two loss season next year. To be considered a quality program is what I desire, not sure about anyone else. And quality programs win, and win on a consistent basis.

Done.....and GreenBat....you can change your avatar now lol
I'm leaving it until after the CUSA title game. To remind all the fans, including me, not to take a win for granted. That piss-poor performance cost this team a chance at hosting the conference title game.

How did you ever pass the reading comprehension section of the firefighter exam?
In the previous post to which you are referring, I never said Derek "Derrick" Thompson had bad high school passing stats. In fact, his high school stats were impressive all the way around. In the context of that post, it is actually important to understand that.
We will have to disagree on whether "Derrick" is a mobile quarterback. I think not, but his lack of mobility did not prevent him from posting a 8-4 record as a starter this year.
In regards to your previous comment about football being tennis and whether a single player can swing a win or a loss... I believe one player can win or lose a football game. Football is often a game of individual matchups: WR vs. CB, OT vs DE, a RB in the open field vs. a SS, etc. If all the other matchups are battling to a draw then football can come down to one player vs. one player. It can come down to a final play and it can be a game of inches. If one player is strong enough to get that extra inch against his opponent then it can mean the difference between winning and losing.
You can talk all you want about football being a team game and it is. But it can come down to ONE player making a play. Ask the backup kicker from Alabama. His long-snapper did his job. His blockers did their job. The holder did his job. If the kicker could have hit that long field goal then Alabama would be playing for another national title.
And if the starting kicker had made just one of the 3 missed field goals, Alabama would have won. You are proving your lack of football knowledge again. One play does not determine the outcome of a game. There are multiple plays that effect the overall outcome of any and all sporting events. NT should have scored at least 6 more points, but there was a fumble on the 3-yard line Tulsa returned 97 yards for a touchdown.

UTSA's attendance continues to drop.
They had more than 26,000.

Not really. We won our last 5 games and went 6-2 in conference play. The fans are all being appreciative of our 10 seniors and what they have meant to this team. Rice took care of business and will play a very good Marshall team
Congrats to utsa for a better than expected season. The same can be said for NT. Wish the Mean Green had defeated the Road Runners last week. I'm leaving utsa as my avatar to remind everyone on this board, not to take anything for granted. If North Texas had taken care of business last week, it would be planning to host Marshall in the CUSA championship.

Hello GoMeanGreen.com message board. NT won the game by 32 points.Byrd and Jimmerson both had outstanding games. The defense was excellent. WHY ARE YOU BITCHING ABOUT THE REFS?

It's been a week. You can get rid of that god forsaken trade school avatar now.
Plan to leave it until after the CUSA championship game to remind everyone who cost us a chance at a conference title.

The girls also won. Beat ACU!

Maybe Tony Denton can coach out this dumpster fire of a season.

Figured I'd do this now as the Mean Green are playing like the lean pink. Still proud of the team. But utsa played better.

KNTU is about to join the pre game.

Be sure you catch UTSA Insider airing immediately after Behind the Green.

Trailing 17-13 is really kicking butt and taking names if you know nothing about football!
