  1. You're on DRUGS, serious DRUGS! The flying Worm era was without a doubt the ugliest NT's uniforms have ever been.
  2. This is COACHING!!!!! There appears to be no consequences for a STUPID penalty. Just ask our CB’s from last season. Neither one were punished (BENCHED) for unnecessary unsportsmanslike penalties.
  3. He doesn't have a chance because the University won't put the $$$$ Money $$$$ up for a campaign. It also doesn't hurt that NT plays such a weak schedule and can't even play for a national championship even if it post an undeafted season.
  4. Try this link South Padre Island
  5. Should be interesting if you like HS football! Friday Nights in America I have nothing to do with this film or sale of such film. Just thought the Mean Green Nation Might be interested.
  6. This is par for the course in Texas HS football! Story
  7. You mentioned North Texas and Big Time in the same sentence. Are you on drugs? North Texas will NOT BE big time in any sport until there is a change in the thinking of the administration.

  11. See for yourself Patriots press releases that mention Patrick Cobbs.
  12. I will be very, very, very surprised if Danny IS NOT the Starting QB against UT. My sources say he's having a GREAT summer!
  13. The Talons get flamed because, for the most part, they don't do near what the charter states as their main purpose, SUPPORT ATHLETICS. I am not a Talon alum, but it seems like pulling teeth with no pain killer is less painful than getting most of the Talons to do something for the AD. This is my first post on anything Talon related!
  14. Can he recruit LEGALLY? That is the question.
  15. 2006 DCTF to hit stores June 13th 06/06/2006 DALLAS – Summer in Texas means two things – hot weather and football season is quickly approaching. To get the state ready for all of the action is Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, the Southwest’s leading football source since 1960, which goes on sale June 13. Printed and published annually by Host Communications Inc, this year marks the 47th edition of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football. This year’s 368-page magazine includes in-depth sections on professional, collegiate and high school football in Texas. This year’s cover features four of the state’s best high school quarterbacks (Jarrett Lee, Brenham; Ryan Mallett, Texas High; G.J. Kinne, Gilmer; John Chiles, Mansfield Summit) together with Texas Football legend Earl Campbell. The cover story examines the “Texas Revolution” — the transformation of Texas high school football’s run-oriented past to its modern pass-happy philosophy. Fans can get their first look at the cover in “The Making of the 2006 Cover” to be aired on FSN Southwest Sunday, June 11th. Check local listings for time and station. The 2006 edition also looks at the changing of the guard at QB at all of the Division I programs in Texas; how Southlake Carroll has gone from a suburban program to one of the greatest dynasties in Texas High School history; and a recruiting feature that looks at how the state is churning out big-time QB prospects. Plus, the magazine includes yearly staples like the Reebok Super Team, the Gear Boss Coaches of the Year, the All-Texas College Team, and team-by-team coverage of more than 1,300 high school football teams. Dave Campbell’s Texas Football is available throughout the state where magazines are sold. It also can be ordered by calling 1.866.313.2578 or online. The cover price is $9.95.
  16. The SBC is league NT is in RIGHT NOW. I'd rather NT win the SBC than be last in Conference USA (Not sayig that would happen). Does NT needs to win some OOC conference games? HELL YES!!! Do we need to win the SBC and get back to the "Darrell Dickey Classic" in New Orleans? HELL YES!!!! Is bitching about NT's conference affiliation going to do any good? HELL NO!!!!! Is worrying about what other college teams that aren't on NT's schedule productive for the advancement of the program? HELL NO!!!!!! Is this post going to get some dumb, lame-ass response? HELL YES!
  17. That's the attitude the football team needs to avoid. I realize it is 92-0 over the last two meetings, but they need to follow Silver's philosophy, "WE DIDN'T COME HERE TO LOSE."
  18. Stanfield should be at NCAA Track Nationals AUSTIN, Texas (5/27/06) - Despite battling a nagging foot injury, Brandi Stanfield’s efforts at the NCAA Midwest Regional Track & Field meet are expected to vault the North Texas freshman into the National Championships in June. Stanfield’s first triple jump attempt of 42-feet-2-1/4-inches, the third-best leap in Mean Green history, proved good enough for an eighth place finish. The indoor all-American now owns the program’s top three marks. While the top five finishers automatically qualified for nationals in Sacramento, Calif., Stanfield’s season-best jump of 44-feet-3-1/2-inches now enters a national pool to compete for an at-large invitation to the NCAA National Championships. Stanfield’s top mark ranks as the fifth best in the country in 2006, and should be the first at-large bid selected for nationals. The Austin, Texas native stands to become the first Mean Green triple jumper to compete at the NCAA’s. “With her foot injury, Brandi did exactly what she needed to make it to nationals,” said North Texas head coach Rick Watkins. “She got off a really good jump early, and can hopefully return 100-percent for nationals.” Eight proved a lucky number for the Mean Green as Heath Smith also notched an eighth place finish in the javelin throw. The junior topped the school record for the third time this season with his toss of 202-feet-9-inches. Smith’s toss also enters the at-large pool, but will fall short of qualifying for nationals. Junior Mark Lee managed to clear 6-feet-9-inches on his third high jump attempt, landing 16th place with his second best leap of the season. The two-time regional qualifier fell short at his three attempts at 6-feet-11-inches, which would have tied for the fifth best in school history. Frank Ngeno finished third in his heat, but 15th overall in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. The junior crossed with a time of 9:31.55 in his first regional meet.
