RV should have fired DD last week!

Out of Junior College, I'd been accepted to tU's J School. Was ready to go in January, then I heard the NT, tU score from the '88 game. Saw the highlights on the news Saturday night. On Monday, I apllied at NT, got in, moved to Denton. Have never left the North Texas area. Live in Lancaster now. Athletic's is truly the window of the University.

This is the reason he was dismissed. "The best of his abilities" means same ol stuff!

Recruiting is part of the reason every coach gets fired. If Dickey was a class act, he would have adressed the team with something like: "The University has decided to go in a different direction because of our performance this year. I know it has not been up to par for you or me. You still need to work hard for the next three weeks, because WE, as a team, need to show the administration they made a mistake." If he had said something like this then I would feel a little bit Bad about the way he was fired. But since he talked trash, F' HIM and his whole crappy staff.

The North Texas volleyball team signed two players to National Letters of Intent at the beginning of the early signing period. Brittani Youman of Tatum, and Amy Huddleston of New Braunfels will both join the Mean Green in 2007. Youman, a 5-11 senior at Tatum High School, will bring her pedigree to Denton in 2007. The daughter of former NFL star Larry Centers, Youman was an outstanding two sport athlete in both volleyball and softball for the Eagles, earning all-district honors in 2003, 2004 and 2005 including Outstanding Blocker of the Year for District 16-3A in 2005. She was also recruited by schools such as Auburn, Memphis, Louisiana Tech and North Florida. MORE

Bruce Chambers, Nelson Barnes, Spencer Leftwich, Gary DeLoach All of these have ties to North Texas and are more than qualified. Applewhite, would be a name with SPLASH, but there is only a couple of years as an assistant to back it up.

The grapevine says that DD walked into the locker room on Wednesday and told the players he had been fired because he "Couldn't Recruit. He then asked them how that made them feel?" Don't know if this is true or not, but it sounds like Dickey!

I told him about the constant bashing of the University and DD's inept play calling ability. He listened politely and said that he was not downgrading the University or the players, but the administration. He appoligized that did not come across as he was hammering the administration in the 30 words he had.

How is this possible. There are at least 4 teams on that list that would beat NT by at least 20. Memphis, UNLV, North Carolina and Fresno State would all be double-digit favorites over the Mean Green.

I will be attending to see JQuinn play his final game for the Mean Green. It is not JQuinn's fault he is playing for a University that doesn't care about football. JQuinn is one of the hardest workers NT has had and it would not be right to ignore him on Senior Day. I stayed away the last 2 home games, but will attend the FAU game to honor, JQuinn and all of the seniors.

They actually have a fundraiser. Somebody, who makes calls and asks for money. NT's AD is dealing with a BOR that will not allow him to go after Huge donors. I don't know why, just that RV is not to blame for all of the problems raising money.

If Matress Mac believes Dickey is the Man to lead, the football program, he need's to put HIS MONEY WHERE HIS MOUTH IS and give a big donation, Multiple Millions to the stadium fund.

They are appointed by the illustrious govenor, the honorable Rick Perry! So the state of NT football is another thing that can be blamed on the Republicans.
