  1. I rember you being fast, but that's really good time.
  2. Beacause JJ doesn't understand the process of coaching. It is teaching you players how to handle situations. The Best way to beat a press is with the pass. We need an intelligent ball handler, who can dribble. But he needs to be able to pass to break the press.
  3. Steamy shower has Yale students in hot water NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Sex is not a taboo subject at Yale, home to Sex Week, a biennial celebration that's one of the most provocative campus events in the nation. But a randy couple's frolic in a shower at one of Yale's undergraduate residential colleges prompted a professor to issue an e-mail of protest, which in turn has sparked debate on the Internet. With the subject line "Shower Stalls are for Showering," the e-mail begins "OK, well THIS is the most awkward college-wide e-mail I've ever had to send." Yale officials told The Associated Press on Friday that the e-mail was sent Jan. 30 by Professor Jonathan Holloway, master of Calhoun College, one of 12 residential colleges at the Ivy League university. About 330 students received the e-mail from Holloway, who runs Calhoun as master. He referred comment to Yale's public affairs department. His e-mail warns against "intimate activity" in the showers, "especially that kind of activity that leaves the showers in a decidedly less hygienic state. "Several times since the start of the spring term some Hounies have come across a couple having the time of their lives in a shower stall," the e-mail stated, referring to the nickname for college residents. "Last night, the shower flooded and the bathroom could not be used for over 90 minutes. To the as yet unidentified couple, this may be pleasurable and exciting for you, but it is a violation of community standards. Please stop." The note, first reported Friday by the New Haven Register, ended with a warning to the frolicking couple: "I really don't want to explore this matter any further, as I respect your individual privacy. But such continued brazen public displays of affection will only invite public embarrassment. I beg of you, let's not go there." One Calhoun resident made his views clear on another blog, criticalmassblog.com. Dan Gelernter, class of 2009, is co-editor of Critical Mass, aimed at "collegiate conservatives," and called the episode "a new chapter in the story of Yale's continuing descent into the depths of moral degradation." "It is not merely unfortunate, but pathetic and disgusting that the Master needed to send such a note to us... but in the moral vacuum that has been created by Yale intellectuals, students seem to be left without even the most basic guidelines for proper and decent behavior," Gelernter wrote.
  4. Orlando Mendez-Valdez? I was calling him the hispanic hyphen last night.
  5. Maybe at linebacker or Defensive End. He is not the style of QB that fits well in Dodge's offense. Lokk for him to end up at tU.
  6. Tribute video CLASS 3A DIVISION I TITLE GAME LIBERTY-EYLAU WINS THRILLER: Thanks to a huge tackle by Emmanual Fagan, Libery-Eylau pulled out a 35-34 victory over Waco Robinson in the Class 3A Division I title game. The Leopards finished the season with a 12-3 record while Robinson ends the season 12-3 as well. Robinson scored on a 6-yard touchdown run by quarterback Randy Kitchens with 18 seconds remaining to pull within one, 35-34. Rockets coach Brian Lewis then decided to go for the win instead of sending the game to overtime with a PAT. The Rockets lined in like they were going to kick the ball. But after the snap, the ball was pitched to Seth Mogavero on an end-around. However, Fagan read the play perfectly and darted into the backfield and tackled Mogavero at the 8-yard line to seal the state title for the Leopards, its first since 1999. "The guys played their hearts out," Lewis said. "We made the decision to go for it, and it was one of those cases where if you make it, you're a hero and if you miss it, you're a goat. But I give all the credit in the world to the kids, because they did everything we asked and played their guts out." Liberty-Eylau was dominated statistically, gaining only 282 yards while Robinson racked up 561 total yards. But the Leopards forced four turnovers, three of which led to touchdowns in the first half. Liberty-Eylau running back accounted for most of the Leopards' yardage with 115 yards rushing on 14 carries while James Batts added 65 yards on 12 carries. Will Middlebrooks threw for 93 yards on 3-of-11 passing while suffering three interceptions. Kitchens had a big game for Robinson, rushing for 121 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries while throwing for 153 yards on 12-of-28 passing with one interception. B.J. Lewis had five receptions for 98 yards. Liberty-Eylau led 13-7 at the end of the first quarter thanks to a Stedmon Dewberry fumble recovery in the end zone and a Middlebrooks 4-yard run. Kitchens scored the Robinson touchdown on a 2-yard run. Both teams scored twice in the second quarter to give the Leopards a 27-21 lead at the half. Robinson then claimed a 28-27 lead in the fourth quarter when Mogavero scored on a 2-yard run. But Liberty-Eylau claimed a 35-28 lead with 7:54 remaining when Blair Taylor recovered a blocked punt in the end zone and James converted the two-point conversion. 1st team Class 3A all-state DB 2nd team THSCA Academic all-state Robinson tribute page Lead Robinson in Receiving Player Rec Yds Avg TDs B.J. 9. My condolences to you and your family.
  10. Greenmom, Zach will be missed, not just his talent, his leadership and presense will also be missed. I have no doubt that he will be a success in whatever he chooses to do as a career. I hope he will consider going into coaching, he is the model for a student athlete. Thanks again Zach for your years at North Texas.

  13. LINK Reported sightings of bald eagle are a first for Rockwall County 08:52 AM CST on Saturday, January 27, 2007 By IAN McCANN / The Dallas Morning News imccann@dallasnews.com The eagle has landed at Lake Ray Hubbard. And not just any eagle. At least two Rockwall County residents this month have spotted and photographed a bald eagle, the American icon that was also once the poster animal for the effects of pollution on wildlife. Omar Bocanegra, a biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Arlington, said his agency has had no previous reports of bald eagle sightings at Ray Hubbard or in Rockwall County. And Texas Parks and Wildlife Capt. Garry Collins, the game warden who oversees the area including the lake, said no previous local sightings had been reported to his agency either. But, Mr. Bocanegra said, it's not unheard of to spot one of the birds as it spends the winter in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, especially as their populations have increased. "They've made a big comeback," Mr. Bocanegra said. "From the phone calls I get about endangered species, the most common ones are bald eagle sightings." He did say, however, that it was unusual for residents to get such high-quality, close-up pictures of bald eagles in the area. The more recent of the two Rockwall County sightings occurred Jan. 15. David Crutchfield and his 9-year-old twin boys were getting ready to go to the movies when he looked out toward the lake from his home in the gated Chandlers Landing community of Rockwall. "This big bird flashed by the window," Mr. Crutchfield said. "Then I see this white head, and I got my camera." He said that his family had seen ospreys and hawks before but that the bird that morning was larger and easily recognizable as a bald eagle. As Mr. Crutchfield clicked off photos, the bird hovered over the lake in the steady wind and, a short time later, swooped down and picked up a small bird in its talons. Soon after, Mr. Crutchfield and his sons, John and Will, spotted the eagle perched in a tree and eating the bird, which Mr. Crutchfield said looked like a coot. The bird eventually took note of passers-by, collected what remained of his dinner and flew away. A week or so earlier, Heath resident Carl McClung photographed a bald eagle as it perched in a pecan tree in his back yard. His 10-year-old daughter, Kylie, saw it first, and they identified it by the white head and tail feathers. That the species has enjoyed a resurgence is clear from state and national figures. In 1971, Texas Parks and Wildlife knew of just seven active nests in the state, but by 2003 the number had risen to 117. Mr. Bocanegra said the eagles are most often found in East Texas, where they nest for most of the year before migrating north for the summer. They're drawn to the large trees, which support their heavy nests, and lakes where they dine on fish and small waterfowl. Those in the Dallas area, he said, have most likely migrated here from the north for the winter. Nationally, numbers have increased from about 417 nesting pairs in the lower 48 states in the early 1960s to more than 7,000 today, according to the Fish and Wildlife Service. Eagle populations were thinned by hunting in the 1800s, and Congress passed the Bald Eagle Protection Act in 1940. Still, their numbers continued to decline because of contamination from the pesticide DDT and lead poisoning. They were listed as endangered in most states, DDT use was restricted, and the birds' numbers began to increase until their status was upgraded from endangered to threatened in 1995. They've recovered so well that federal officials are considering removing bald eagles from the threatened species list as well. Even if the bald eagle is removed from the list, it will be protected by other federal laws. Although bald eagles are more common than they once were, seeing one is still special, Mr. Bocanegra said, primarily because they're a national symbol. "They're a charismatic bird," he said. "I've spoken to several people who have seen bald eagles around, and people always remember the first time they see one." Rockwall-Rowlett Neighbors editor Dawn Redig contributed to this report.
