  1. Where the Ben E. Keth deck? I see something down where it should be, but it's too small to be the deck!
  2. Just wanted to remind people what Finch looks like, so they can make a fair comparison. FWIW My vote goes to Finch.
  3. SMU cheats without even trying. Check this out!!! Must read entire thread, it's short.
  4. At least Seven of these are NIKE. Two ADDIAS, ND and Rhode Island. Couldn't tell what Wyoming was. Glad NT's going with UnderArmor.
  5. Tragedy hits SMU again as men's soccer player dies by Dave McNabb Tue, Jun 5, 2007, 07:09 AM SMU is planning an alumini event in August in memory of men's soccer player Jordan Mann, who died unexpectedly in his sleep May 26. SMU's coaching staff and team members attended Mann's funeral in Prairie Village, Kan. last week. Mann was the third SMU student to die in May and the fourth in the last year. Mann graduated in May with a degree in finance and returned to his parents' home where he died in his sleep. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death. Medical examiners believe Mann might have had a heart defect. Mann played on the Mustangs' 2005 Final Four qualifier and was named to the Conference USA all-academic team.
  6. I saw Jerod Douglas of Converse Judson for three years. He was the most amazing RB I've ever seen. He was a mix between Barry Sanders and LT. He went to Baylor and had a decent career, but I don't know what happened to him.
  7. Man beats world hot dog eating record By BOB CHRISTIE, Associated Press Writer Sun Jun 3, 5:56 AM ET PHOENIX - A California man smashed the world record for hot dog eating at a contest Saturday, gobbling up more than 59 franks in 12 minutes. Joey Chestnut, 23, of San Jose, shattered the record held by Takeru Kobayashi of Japan by downing 59 1/2 "HDBs" — hot dogs and buns — during the Southwest Regional Hot Dog Eating Championship at the Arizona Mills Mall in suburban Tempe. more
  8. Longhorns defensive end charged with DWI By JIM VERTUNO, AP Sports Writer June 1, 2007 AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Texas defensive end Henry Melton of Grapevine was arrested and charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated early Friday. Melton was pulled over in the popular Sixth Street entertainment district after officers noticed his truck driving in an unsafe manner, police spokeswoman Laura Albrecht said. "We're disappointed anytime one of our players is accused of wrongdoing," coach Mack Brown said. "We have a great group of guys and we will thoroughly investigate this situation. Following the completion of the legal process, we will do what's best for the university, Henry and the team." The junior was a backup running back his first two seasons with the Longhorns before moving to defensive end this spring. Melton was expected to compete for playing time after the departure of both of last season's defensive end starters.
  9. That was not a dirty foul. It was a STUPID foul.

  11. Bowen has a proven track record of being one of the BEST DEFENSIVE players in the league. I'm guessing you meant "Amare isn't the cleanest player...but to say he is worse than Bowen is damn ridiculous." I disagree, Bowen is a pest, Amare fouls people hard all the time, when he gets beat. I did not call Mav fans whiny ass bitches, I saved that for Sun fans, but you're right...you don't know shit!!
  12. You are full of $h!+ if you think the Spurs are a dirty team. Do they play phyisical, in your face defense? YES, and they do it better than anyone else in the NBA. Amare Stodamire is a dirtier player than either Horry or Bowen. You are an idiot if you think Pop would tell one of his players to hurt someone. And you are clueless about the NBA if you think a Spurs player would of take an order from a Spurs coach or fellow teammate to injure an opposing player, be it James, Gibson or whoever. You must be a Mavs fan or a whiny ass bitch fan of the Suns. If you're a Mavs fan, tell your team to grow some balls and beat teams they are supposed to beat. If you're a Suns fan, remember to win a series you have to win 4 games, not 1. The Suns had home court and lost two of the three game in Phoenix. The two Suns who were suspended should have known the rules when Nash was fouled by Horry. Nash by the way should receive an Oscar nomination for his flop. Eagle D, don't hate the players, hate the game and the rules. But before you attack the best team in the NBA over the last Decade (4 finals appearance in 9 years, three titles), you need to get your FACTS in order. GO MEAN GREEN !!!!!!!!!! GO SAN ANTONIO !!!!!!!!!
  13. STOP NT turned down the WAC, not the MWC.
  14. Orsini still building at SMU 11:16 PM CDT on Thursday, May 31, 2007 By KATE HAIROPOULOS / The Dallas Morning News UNIVERSITY PARK – Steve Orsini cares. He cares about SMU going to its first bowl since 1984. He wants to field basketball teams that make the NCAA Tournament and programs that turn out pristine graduation and compliance ratings. He wants Conference USA championships and talks about reaching the top-25 level in each sport. But the Mustangs' athletic director, whose first anniversary on the Hilltop is today, knows that to support those lofty goals, SMU needs a lot more of one, basic thing: revenue. More
  15. Women's Asst. Coaches are fleeing like rats off the SS Slinker. If she had any pride, she'd just resign and let NT bring in a real women's basketball coach.
  16. Sounds like a road trip to San Antonio the first part of January.
  17. It was at the top of the story. And I just cut and paste. I took out the middle part about the Duke Lacrosse team.

  19. This kid is the 4A version of William Cole, the OSU signee that led Cedar Hill to the 5A Div. 2 title. He is a do-it-all type player, who will be a STUD as a slot reciever. He would also be a great DB.
  20. How is Nashville a neutral site? MUTS is just 35 minutes down the road. Calling Nashville neutral is like calling Dallas neutral.
  21. By ERIC OLSON, AP Sports Writer May 25, 2007 OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- The move to 12-game schedules in college football has revived a proposal that would extend player eligibility to five years. The NCAA football issues committee, led by Nebraska athletic director Steve Pederson, has requested that the proposal be discussed at the spring meetings of Division I football-playing conferences. Even if the idea gains traction, it would have to go through several NCAA committees before a membership vote. more
