I was a much a good South Texas HS QB with good stats (touchdown & passing yards). I signed with NT vowing to prove the other major D1's wrong. I did, leaving the school as the all-time completion percentage leader.

What are Texas Wreck's well known traditions? Having QB's that put up gawdy numbers because of a system that has been in place less than 10 years? Or is it keeping a kid who has a 0.0 GPA eligible? Or might it be paying for the boots a running back shows up at SMU wearing?

Here's a novel idea. Let's let the coaching staff decide where everybody plays. I think Danny would be a helluva receiver and Woody would make a great RB or WR. I think Phillips is just a QB, but I could be wrong, Todge might have plans for him as a DE. I think Tune could be a WR or DB. All of this is just my opinion. Let's let the COACHES, who get paid to make the decision, decide!!!

Going to North Texas, Dodge could again play quarterback for his father, former Southlake Carroll head coach Todd Dodge who was named at North Texas last December. At Texas, Dodge would have to move to receiver. Neither Dodge could be reached for comment but SLC teammates and Texas assistants indicated a switch to North Texas was imminent.
