  1. Another Horn in trouble with the Law. Guess Mack isn't recruiting character guys!
  2. Brings back memories for FFR, Talon90 and I. Indiana's Blake Powers throws a pass during practice in Bloomington, Ind.,in this Aug. 14, 2006 file photo. Powers was arrested after he threw a water balloon from one car into another, hitting an off-duty police officer, authorities said Monday, July 30, 2007.
  3. That's why this thread needs to turn into a Woody vs. Danny Thread. Come on emmitt and Dodge2007, lets get it on.
  4. Just let this topic F'ING die! Emmitt you think WW should be the QB. Dodge2007 you think Danny is should be the QB. we all get that. Just agree to disagree and get on with your F'ING lives. I enjoy both of your insight on most topics, but not this one. Please MATT, HARRY, LO or JD put I lock down on this F'ING thread and every other F'ING thread about the QB battle between WW and Meager. Please guys grow the F up.
  5. I didn't know geeks were passionate. Oh you said greeks, my bad.
  6. I think Woody missed spring practice because he had conflicts with class. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the football players are at NT to get an education while playing some football. I don't know if Woody was in summer school or not, but he was in town. How do we know that he hasn't been working out with the receivers this summer? My personal opinion is that Woody's athletic ability could be used better at another position. Emmitt's opinion is that Woody is the best option at QB this year. We disagree, but we both will support whoever is the QB because they are leading the Mean Green. Might either one of us want a QB change if the starter does not perform well? Yes. Will this topic even die when Woody exhaust his eligibility? No, but that is what makes this message board so fun.
  7. Riley will be playing at SLC this year. He won't be playing for NT until 2008.
  8. http://www.meangreensports.com/ViewArticle...mp;ATCLID=68717 This all the video available. You could call Eric Capper and he might have the link to what you want, if it's not here.
  9. This is a great way to get the NT football team some free national publicity. ESPN has a program called College Football Live that is on weekdays at 2:30 p.m. They have a SOUND OFF section of the show where football fans can show support for their team. They are getting swamped with West Virginia stuff. It would be great if someone from GMG.com could get a video on ESPN showing support for the MEAN GREEN. This is a perfect thing for FFR, he could get the F4 and the F5 involved and even have Darlya shoot the thing. Heck Jaydub, could do something at his airport in Utah. Smitty could do something with his graphics or Stebo could rehash his NOB memories. I'd do something, but I don't have the video making talent to do it.
  10. DD was not a public speaker. Not having him speak, probably did NT more good, than if he had spoke.
  11. Damn, I forgot how wide Booger was. You could put his game pants up for the video replay screen.
  12. I think a couple of those early TD passes were to Evan Fentriss. That will be nice to see when both are here.
  13. Not a Freudian slip, just a terminal case of the stupid's I know I don't want a visual of you snow boarding neked. Hell, if your name doesn't have Miss October in front of it, I really don't want that image in my mind.
  14. Lifer, Thanks for the visual! I'm picturing you headed downhill with your mean green beanie (with the SOW) and your junk flailing all around. Thanks you SOB (JK)!! :shocking:
  15. How much would it have cost to take a cab? I'm sure it would've been a lot less than getting busted for DWI. If you think using a 3,000 pound vehicle without your full facalties is not felony attempted murder, then I hope you, or one that is close to you is maimed or killed by a drunk driver. Drinking and driving is just plain F'd up. It's simple, if you have one drink, then you need to spend at least one hour where you are not behind the wheel of a vehicle. On the guy in Florida, he did the crime and he knew he must register as a sex offender. To bad, so sad!!!! This seond chance $hit, because he didn't know or she's too young is what is Ridiculous.
  16. In a wild and crazy weekend of college recruiting, the Lone Star State saw a grand total of six verbal commitments being made to various schools across the state and the country. Two of the biggest headliners was the announcements from Cypress Fairbanks RB Sam McGuffie and Mesquite QB Kelly Page. On Saturday, the Nebraska Cornhuskers got word from Denton Ryan DE Josh Williams that he will be headed to Lincoln next fall to play college football. As a junior, Williams racked in 68 total tackles, 22 of which came for losses. He also acquired six sacks and six six pass break ups. Williams becomes the second Texan to commit to the Cornhuskers as he joins Port Arthur Memorial DB David Whitmore on the list. Texas Tech got their fourth Lone Star state commitment and ninth overall commit when New Diana OT/DT Terry McDaniel made his choice to go with the Red Raiders. McDaniel chose Texas Tech over Arizona, Colorado, LSU and Oklahoma State. In the 2006 season as a junior, McDaniel gobbled up 52 tackles with 11 of those tackles coming behind the scrimmage line. Friendswood lineman Blake Sargent had offers from Louisiana Tech, Rice, Colorado State and New Mexico State but in the end decided to stay close to home with the University of Houston. Sargent is the sixth commitment for the Cougars from Texas. The UTEP Miners have now grabbed their seventh overall commitment in the form of Jersey Village DE Corey Wright. Wright, one of the state's top defensive ends, has atttracted many schools from all across the country including Arizona State, Kansas State and Oklahoma State. Although Wright has committed to UTEP, he is keeping his options open with a number of schools stll persuing the 6'3 Jersey Village product. On KPRC Channel 2's Sports Sunday program with Randy McIlvoy, one of the most sought after and highly touted recruits in the state in recent years, has made his choice. Cypress Fairbanks RB Sam McGuffie with a narrowed selection between Texas A&M, USC, Notre Dame, Florida and Michigan, chose to don the colors of maize and blue. McGuffie as a junior touched the ball 358 times and accumulated 3,129 yards of dirt while reaching football's promised land a grand total of 43 times. The Cypress Fairbanks running back is the second Texan to make his move to play in "Big House" as WR Daryl Stonum committed back on July 1. Capping off the weekend fury of commitments, Mesquite quarterback Kelly Page rides into the eye of a Golden Hurricane that gave him what he was looking for. Page is the sixth Texas commit for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane and fourth from the offensive side of the ball. the six-foot three inch Page had an offer from Army and was also pursued by Oregon, Utah and Rice
  17. Must resist rude comment on Hilton stadium
  18. But we had better win. UA doesn't associate with LOSERS!!!
  19. You would if the drunk bastard hit and killed someone you love. DWI should be a more serious crime. It should be felony attempted murder.
  20. Even if they call the University, North Texas STATE?
  21. I wouldn't want to support SMU's program that much. Guess I have to be happy with the crappy visitors section.
