  1. Smitty, You are truly gifted and we are blessed that you are a member of the Mean Green Nation. Thanks for the great work!
  2. 1. Brett Barrow **NOTE** The qaulity of the music on the site is not as good as the recorded CD. Please also remember that the four songs on the site are songs made by brett and michael only, not with the two new members... new cd coming soon*** It all started at a small private school in Fort Worth, Texas, named Fort Worth Christian School. Two boys, Michael McCully and Brett Barrow quickly became friends at a very young age. As the two grew up they became extremely interested in music. Brett became a smashing guitar player and Michael became an insane drummer. Although the boys invisioned their friendship to last forever, bad luck then struck their relationship: Brett moved to Pebble Beach, California. Although Brett would visit during breaks and they were still able to play music together, it was still hard on the two young men. The band 'Synergy' was created by Michael and Brett last summer (05). The duet released their first cd at the very beginning of 06 thanks to Michael McCully's sound equipment. The cd quickly became a hit. Along with a promising career, two new members with amazing talent then joined: David Vermette, a bass player who also attends Fort Worth Christian, and John Hays, the frontman/guitarist who goes to LD Bell High School and has a wonderful singing voice. David and Michael are also in the band enamored with their friend Blake. With new lyrics already written, Synergy is very excited about the summer of 06. Along with creating another brilliant cd, the band expects to shoot a couple music videos and play a few concerts (check the site for show dates). We are Synergy and we hope you enjoy our music! 3. Carroll QB on EA Player of the Year list Posted: Thursday, August 16, 2007 Southlake Carroll quarterback Riley Dodge is one of nine top candidates on the EA Sports National Player of the Year watch list, which was released today. Dodge, who has committed to North Texas, is the reigning Associated Press Class 5A Offensive Player of the Year and one of two Texans among the leaders. Katy running back Aundre Dean (UCLA) is also on the list.
  4. My thought is Quoner, you are an SOB for even bring this topic up. I can't believe Plumm hasn't posted a novel on why NT need a 45,000 seat stadium already. Die you bastard, Die. This post was meant as a joke and if it offended anybody, they need to get a life!!
  5. JQ is a perfect arena football receiver. He's got the speed and the moves to be an AFL superstar!!!!
  6. When Brown gets a sack, I can hear it now; Charlie, Charlie, Charlie.
  7. Instead of worrying about practices, if you want a real story......Do your research about what the university did to go let Dodge break the UNT's commitment to players by taking away their fifth year of education. When players accept a scholarship to play for the university they are commiting, not only to the coach, but to the university. The university should back those players. Dodge has released many of our players that have played with us for four years. Those players were promised five years of education. They were fast tracked through the program to complete their bachelors degree in four years and promised a fifth to recieve their masters. Leaving them to foot the bill for the education they were promised. Some of these players, had they been able to get their medical redshirt, would still be playing and finishing out their fifth year. (i.e Willie, Zach, etc.)Many players fell through the cracks because coaches changed and UNT did nothing to make sure the education end of the deal was upheld. 8. I know about some of those activities, but chose not to defame the young man's character any further.
  9. Byerly? I have been a member of this board since the start. I can't remember anyone ever praising Byerly. There were some positive things said about him, but there were also plenty of negative things said. Eddrick Gilmore was the highest rated recruit in his class. He also showed flashed of brillance on the field as a TRUE freshman. Supposedly he has put on 20 pounds of muscle. He could be the next defensive star for NT, if he is eligible. He missed last year because of academics, but Byerly flunked out of school if what I hear is true.
  10. TimmyMac is a dildo, TimmyMac is a dildo, TimmyMac is a dildo, TimmyMac is a dildo, TimmyMac is a dildo, TimmyMac is a dildo, TimmyMac is a dildo, TimmyMac is a dildo, TimmyMac is a dildo, TimmyMac is a dildo. Please understand, I thought TimmyMac was a great beat writer when he covered NT, but please tell me what he did "for the program" that Vito has not. They both covered the teams well. Some don't like Vito's style of reporting, but it is not bad. Brett does his job, just like TimmyMac did. TimmyMac, as an alum, might have donated a few bucks more and may have bought some tickets to games, but all he did while he was the NT beat writer was his job. He happened to be at the DRC during the DD glory years and there was more positive things to write about. As a sports writer, Vito does a solid job covering the NT beat. TimmyMac's style may have been different, but that does not mean he was better. I worked with TimmyMac for two-plus years. I consider him a friend and after calling him a dildo 10 times I hope I can still consider him a friend. I do think TimmyMac is a talented writer, but I don't agree with his stance on Dodge closing practices.
  11. That's too bad, I want them at full strength when we kick their asses.

  14. Both of the articles make me proud that Kerona and Jamario are part of the NT program. They are both exceptional young men.
  15. Todd Dodge's life is a script for a Disney movie.
  16. I want the QB starter to be the winner of the QB battle, be it Woody Wilson, Danny Meager, Gio Vizza, Nathan Tune, Matt Phillips or Tye Rexrod. I want the man Dodge decides on. I trust in Dodge as I'm sure emmitt01 and Dodge2007 do. And will cheer loudly for them no matter who it is, as I'm sure emmitt01 and Dodge2007 will, no matter who the starter ends up being.
  17. Still no answer about QB after Oklahoma scrimmage 05:39 PM CDT on Saturday, August 11, 2007 Associated Press NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma's season opener is just three weeks away, but the Sooners' three-man competition at quarterback remains undecided, coaches said Saturday. Oklahoma held its initial preseason scrimmage on Saturday, with the three quarterback candidates – junior Joey Halzle, redshirt freshman Sam Bradford and true freshman Keith Nichol – each leading the Sooners on one scoring drive. Offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson said Sunday will be the first opportunity since preseason practice started for the Sooners' coaching staff to discuss the quarterback situation at length. He hinted it's possible that the final decision on a starter might not be made until after the season starts. Oklahoma will open on Sept. 1 at home against North Texas and will host Miami a week later. "I wish it would be settled and done right this second, personally, for all positions," Wilson said. "But at the same time, we're going to need more than one....Maybe we go with two. "We're through the first (week) and through a scrimmage. Maybe, from what we've seen in practice and today, maybe we can get close to making that call...or (decide that) we're five, six, eight, 10 days away." Of the three candidates, only Halzle has any game experience at Oklahoma, having made mop-up appearances last season in wins over Middle Tennessee and Iowa State and completed 1-of-2 passes for 15 yards. Bradford, who last played at Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City, worked last season on the Sooners' scout team, while Nichol arrived in January after graduating early from his Michigan high school. On Saturday, with temperatures climbing into the low 90s during the scrimmage, Bradford started and led the Sooners' offense on seven series. Nichols followed and also played seven series, while Halzle led Oklahoma on six series. Wilson said the order of appearance wasn't significant, as all three quarterbacks worked with both the first- and second-team units. Bradford finished 11-of-18 passing for 83 yards and threw an interception. The offense scored on his final series on a 53-yard touchdown run by Jacob Gutierrez. Nichol went 8-of-16 for 51 yards, including a 3-yard touchdown pass to Manuel Johnson, while Halzle was 12-of-21 for 85 yards, including a 20-yard scoring toss to junior wide receiver Malcolm Kelly, who leapt high above a defensive back to catch the football. The quarterbacks received few opportunities to throw deep passes as coaches opted more for short- and medium-length pass plays. "It's obvious that our quarterbacks can make all the throws," Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops said. "They did a really nice job. I didn't see any forced decisions. The drives that stalled didn't stop because of their play. The players around them have to make plays." Oklahoma officials did not allow reporters to speak with any of the three quarterbacks after the scrimmage. The Sooners are expected to be in the national preseason top 10 in spite of the quarterback uncertainty, largely because they have experience at most every other offensive position. Whoever wins the quarterback job, Kelly said, will have "a security blanket, knowing that everybody around him has played football and made a boatload of plays. That will make the job a lot easier." Allen Patrick, projected to be the Sooners' starting tailback, missed the scrimmage with a right ankle sprain suffered earlier in the week. Patrick's ankle remains in a cast and he walked on crutches Saturday, but Stoops said the injury isn't as bad as a sprained ankle Patrick suffered last season that kept him out of two games. Defensive back Reggie Smith, the preseason Big 12 Conference defensive player of the year, and starting offensive lineman Branndon Braxton also sat out with what Stoops termed as minor injuries. Oklahoma State also planned to hold its first preseason scrimmage on Saturday, but the Cowboys' session was closed to the public.
  18. That's how he get the backup QB on the field without having the starter looking over his shoulder. That what he did with Chase Daniel when he was a back up. He also did this with Riley when he was the backup.
