  1. Just got off the phone with Eric Capper and Stephen Howard. The info reported in the Star-Telegram was WRONG. It was not written by the NT beat writer and Capper spoke with the Sports Editor and he said that UTA is doing something big with the first day of practice and that’s were the confusion might have come from. My conversation with Stephen Howard was interesting. He stated that the info in the Star-Telegram was indeed WRONG and that Johnny Jones has never opened practices to the public. I told him that I had attended more than one practice, sitting at the top of the concourse, and I was not asked to leave. I did not bother anyone, or make my presence known, but was not asked to leave. He reiterated that while he has been the head coach at NT, Johnny Jones has never had a policy that allows the public to watch practice. These are the facts as they were presented to me by Eric Capper, Media Relation Director, and Stephen Howard, Assistant Director in charge of Men’s Basketball. 2. If you believe this, then KBJ stands Kooky Boorish JackAss. Dodge is playing who has earned playing time. As a fan, you might not agree with who is getting playing time, but to say he is playing F*** the jrs is just silly.
  3. If MEAGER had thrown this pick, this board would have had at least 17 threads devoted to this pass. The GREAT Gio throws this pick and two others and nobody is on him. I believe Vizza is the QB of the future and am glad he is playing, but come on people. Let's be somewhat consistant on this board. If we're going to crucify a QB for his performance. Then let's crucify the position and not the player.
  4. He doesn't look that small. He looks like he weighs about 230.
  5. Because Fans want imediate results, not building programs.
  6. NT has played 1, count it 1, home game. And the team played well in that game. This preview is bogus and has no informative substance. Win or lose, this season is all about learning how good the football team can be.
  7. I honestly believe NT will beat UL-M, MTSU, WKU and Florida Int'l. 4-8 is not what any of us wanted. But it's better than the last 2 years. Call me PolyAnna, but I believe this team is on the correct track and some W's are coming this season.
  8. I've checked on Cody, but can't find out anything. I'll try some other of my contacts.
  9. SLC should win easily, don't know if I'll make it or not.
  10. No. And I would make sure the manager sees the exchange.
  11. NO, not Gus Johnson. At least Pam Ward gets the names right. Gus Johnson is worse than Sam Smith, and that takes work!!
  12. Thank You. That is a solid explanation. I was not at the game, nor did I watch the game on Ch. 21. All I did was go by the stats.
  13. 3 TD's and 3 interceptions and you give him a B+? What does it take to make it an average performance ©? More interceptions than TD's. Comp.%: 61.40350877192983 Yards/Att.: 6.719298245614035 TD%: 5.263157894736842 Int.% : 5.263157894736842 NCAA QB Rating: 124.68771929824561

  15. Just like the cockroaches, Slinker will find a way to survive.
  16. Folks lets quit pussy footing around. It sounds like Mandy McKinley is at her best. She's not only pissing off current donors. She's pissing off potential donors. She has proven on more than one occasion she's nothing but a worthless human being.
  17. It's not Bandwidth concerns. Time-warner is just a crappy cable company and ISP. I have directv but, for the highspeed internet I have TWC.
  18. WHERE's OHIO UNIVERSITY? I know it's in Ohio, but where in Ohio?
  19. The question is easy to answer. He groomed what is probably the finest QB to ever don a MEAN GREEN uniform, Mitch Maher. He helped Mitch become, not only a successful QB that led his team to the playoffs. He helped turn him into a fabulous young man and a role model for many young people. Do I want the football program to be successful? Yes. Would I take the success with a bunch of hoodlums representing MY UNIVERSITY. HELL NO. If I wanted that I would cheer for Texas, Oklahoma, A&M or a handful of other programs that do not care about morals and ethics. Do I want to go to New Orleans to follow the SunBelt champion North Texas MEAN GREEN? Hell YES. Am I willing to wait for success as long as the football team turns out quality individuals who play their A$$e$ off and don't point fingers at someone else? YES. Will I be happy with two or three victories this season? NO. Will I be able to accept it? YES, because Todd Dodge will not be satisfied until he has turned the University of North Texas into the best team possible. I am not willing to accept the "whoaa is me poor little UNT Bulls**t that continues to keep us down.." Most of that comes from unrealistic expectations from fans. Todd Dodge is not "GOD." And that word is used to describe him too often, and I'm sure he would agree with that. WE ARE FANS, our job is to support the team and the coaching staff to the best of our abilities. If you don't want to support them, don't downgrade them. I have opinions on the play of individuals that are just as animated as yours and most on this board. I choose to temper my words with the wisdom of keeping my mouth shut.
  20. Please notify Rick V of this. Mandy McKinley needs to be more reliable in returning phone calls.
