  1. That is correct. But I found the information in the MTSU versus NT football game notes. A place where you would have looked for the answer before asking it on a fan message board. Page 6
  2. Television Time – North Texas is scheduled to play on television six times in 2007, including the season-opener at Oklahoma which was televised nationally by FOX Sports Net. The home-opener against Florida Atlantic was televised back to the state of Florida as part of the Owls television deal on Sept. 22. The Mean Green will also play on ESPN Regional as part of the Sun Belt Conference television package in games against Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe and Arkansas State. The Troy game was televised by SportsSouth.
  3. I completely agree. Poor FT shooting comes from not caring enough to be good. All it takes is practice.
  4. If this had ever been the case, we would have many more NCAA appearances. Free Throw shooting is just about practice. Nothing Else. It is a wide open shot. It is inexcuseable not to shoot at least 75 percent from the line.
  5. LongJim, You are AWESOME!!!
  6. If NT had two or three donors that contributed $1,000,000 Plus, then I'd agree, don't accept mediocrity. The donations to the Athletic Department are mediocre, why should we as fans expect more? In other words, GIVE, GIVE, GIVE to the athletic department, then give some more.
  7. Got this from a buddy, who graduated from A&M. He says this fool needs to move to Austin. http://media.www.ntdaily.com/media/storage...r-3037421.shtml
  8. I believe Vito reported about three weeks ago that Chatman was suspended for violating unspecifed team rules. This happened around the same time as Nwigwe's problems with the law came about.
  9. Don't have picture of the Belly Girls from the ULM game. All of these photos are from the ULM game. The Belly Girls were at the FAU game. And the kicker scored a field goal and hit 4 PAT's. He deserves to be in the Montage. And it's my montage. You want other pictures in a montage, make 1 of your own.
  10. Thanks to Gary Payne/DRC, Lorenzo Robles, Rick Yeatts photography, The NT Daily, UNTFootball.Net and whoever took the Mean Joe Green photo I put this together just for fun. I would like to give something like this to Coach Dodge.
  11. I still can't believe that Montey's tip & TD didn't make plays of the week. Or the 99-yarder by Fitz. Both were better plays than some of the plays that made it.
  12. You calling a post inappropriate. Now that's funny! BTW, love the new avatar

  14. Yea, TTG you probably are low enough on the talent level to get a job at CFN. j/k Your sense of humor would be wasted there.
  15. NORTH TEXAS FOOTBALL NOTES Dodge sees many similarities in Troy By ANGEL H. VERDEJO Star-Telegram Staff Writer DENTON -- With Troy up next for North Texas, coach Todd Dodge said Tuesday his first experience with the Sun Belt Conference after being hired was watching the Trojans in last year's New Orleans Bowl. Then the coach at Southlake Carroll, Dodge was preparing the Dragons for Austin Westlake in the Class 5A Division I championship on Dec. 23. The day before, Troy beat Rice 41-17. Besides early scouting, Dodge also watched Troy run a spread offense very similar to what North Texas runs now. "It was ironic -- the first Sun Belt game I saw was the New Orleans Bowl between them and Rice," Dodge said. "It was kind of a comforting feeling to see that the team that was winning this conference and was the talk of this conference was running a very similar offense that we want to put in." Troy averages 277.5 yards passing and 76.6 rushing per game. Quarterback Omar Haugabook also caught Dodge's attention, comparing the 2006 conference MVP to Missouri's Chase Daniels, a two-time Associated Press 5A Player of the Year at Carroll. "Omar is kind of the poster child for the spread offense's quarterback," Dodge said. "It's a deal where people think quarterbacks have to be 6-4, 220 pounds. I met Omar over the summer; he's about 5-11, 215. "It just goes to show that you don't have to be that prototypical 6-4, 220 pounds to be an outstanding Division-I quarterback." Fitzgerald moving up Casey Fitzgerald might not be too well known nationally, but his numbers speak otherwise. The junior is second nationally with 9.67 catches per game and third with 140.8 receiving yards. He trails Texas Tech's Michael Crabtree, who has entered Heisman conversations. "You have to put his name right up there with anybody," Todd Dodge said. "Anytime someone has the feel-good story of a walk-on that earned his scholarship, that's a story that you'll always be able to share with your kids. "But he's pretty good. He's a pretty good athlete, though he didn't come from a program that threw the heck out of the ball in high school." Briefly Todd Dodge praised his team, not just for the its first win of the year, but how UNT accomplished some of its team goals set each game. Among them were creating three turnovers, which UNT did, returning two for touchdowns. Goals not reached were no drives stopped by penalty (one) and no three-and-out possessions (two). It's homecoming Saturday for Troy, which is 72-11-1 in 17 seasons under coach Larry Blakeney at Movie Gallery Veterans Stadium. 16. Because the ENTIRE defense is under the DC's direction. That's why he is the coordinator.
  17. You couldn't be an editor at CFN, you have an understanding of the English language and know how to check facts. A writer, maybe. No you couldn't be a writer for CFN. You're too intelligent and know the value of research, rather than just spewing uninformed opinions.
  18. I have always said. CFN employs a bunch of Morons, who know nothing about the majority of the conferences the write on. It would shock me if anyone who writes for CFN has seen a SunBelt team play in person. And I'd be willing to bet money they have not seen a North Texas game. Fitz is one of the top players in the country. He might not have the size or speed of Linus Sweed or Malcom Kelly. He is like Wes Welker. He does nothing back make plays. It is because CFN employs the most uninformed writers and the Editors are not talented enough with the english language to be writers.
  19. Cannabis is illegal unless it is used in specific medical situations to relief pain or help to control nausea. As a Lawyer you should know that. Just make sure you don't pass those funny smokes around in front of emmitt. If this post is taken as anything other than a joke. The reader needs to have their head examined and get a sense of humor.
  20. I get SportsSouth in my DirecTV package and I've got the Tivo set, so hope it records. Going to San Antonio this weekend to see my Mom, so I'll have to watch the replay myself. But if it is I'll burn you a copy as well.
  21. I also Tivo'd the game. Already Making Micah Mosely's Dad a copy. I'll be glad to make additional copies. Just PM me, not respond on the board and I'll make you a copy. Brett Tulloss
  22. But it will never happen. Too many egos involved for it to work. Travel cost and regional rivalaries are just two of the reasons it should happen. But the arrogance of TCU, SMU, Coogar Hi and U Take Em Points having to stoop to being in a conference with a lowly directional school that is close to them makes since to them. I don't understand How. TCU has to go to four of these stadiums every year (Air Force, BYU, Colorado State, New Mexico, San Diego State, Nevada-Las Vegas, Utah, Wyoming) and the other the other four are at home (Air Force, BYU, Colorado State, New Mexico, San Diego State, Nevada-Las Vegas, Utah, Wyoming). Those are really interesting teams that make my football pats go wild. It makes even less since for SMU, Rice, Coogar Hi and U Take Em Points want to stay in CUSA, where they play Three out of state dierctional schools (East Carolina, Southern Miss, Central Florida), a team who's most noteable alum is a great wide receiver, but a losey human (Marshall), A school that is known more for its basketball coach and loosing to the MUTS (Memphis). A school that is still trying to recover from Katrina (Tulane), a school that is Jeckll and Hyde in its attendance and wins (Tulsa) and a team (Alabama-Birmingham) that is not sure what it wants its identity to be. Not sure a new SWC would work, but it would just make too much sense not to try it.
