  1. I'm behind the girls team, have been ever since 1992, my last yeat at NT. But I'm tired of Slinkerball. She has been a good soldier and did not raise a stink, when she could have about Title 9. But she is by far the worst bench coach I have ever seen. That is the reason there is so much negativity about the girls program. Once she faces a team with a decent coach, who makes adjustments she folds and sucks her thumb. She has had way, way, way too much time to turn her program into a consistent winner. NT has had five Football coaches, and four Men's basketball coaches during Tina's time at NT. We've dropped Men's Soccer & Men's Tennis and NT has added Women's soccer, Women's swimming and diving and Softball all while still having Tina Slinker as the girls hoops coach.
  2. Did you record the game? If you did please PM me.
  3. Holy $hit, Somebody saying something nice about the Ron Mendoza-coached Defense.
  4. illuvius32, Should be a fun podcast this week!
  5. Rick, I was being a smart ass, imagine that. I was equating the chant to the loss, even though I'm sure it had nothing to do with our shooting percentage, which led to the loss. It was a poor attempt at humor and I was unable to attend the game, so other than we shot poorly and lost, I know nothing about the game.
  6. Where fundemental basketball goes to die!!!
  7. Rick V need to invesitgate this. The Ath. Dept. can't afford to lose a $1,500+ investment. I don't know who took it, but if they can afford to lose an expensive piece of equipment and not worry about it then we don't need to worry about the stadium getting done. They'll just pull the money out of their a$$ again.
  8. Even their Hall of Fame Players know they can't win without major changes.
  9. A game warden was driving down the road when he came upon a young boy carrying a wild turkey under his arm. He stopped and asked the boy, "Where did you get that turkey?" The boy replied, "What turkey?" The game warden said, "That turkey you're carrying under your arm." The boy looks down and said, "Well, lookee here, a turkey done roosted under my arm!" The game warden said, "Now look, you know turkey season is closed, so whatever you do to that turkey, I'm going to do to you. If you break his leg, I'm gonna break your leg. If you break his wing, I'll break your arm. Whatever you do to him, I'll do to you. So, what are you gonna do with him?" The little boy said, "I guess I'll just kiss his ass and let him go!"
  10. I'll lock this thing down. I'd rather have the wife of a former governor from Arkansas than a former governor of Texas.
  11. I wish the outcome was different, but it was one HELLUVA game. Go Redskins!
  12. Tulsa has 14 NCAA Tournament appearances, last in 2003. Made Elite 8 in 2000. Tulane has 3 Tournament appearances, last in 1995, where it won the first round game. Not UNC, Duke or Kentucky, but neither is North Texas.
  13. I disagree, Todd needs to have this team's motto as Any one Any time Any where I think Southern Miss uses something like this.
  14. North Texas was #1 in 1-AA when it lost to K State, 20-17. That was their first win in 30 games. The goal post came down needless to say. It was their only win that season. The next year they started a 14 year string of winning at least 5 games., with 3 Big 12 titles and 11 straight bowl appearances of their 13 total bowl appearnces. I covered the game for the Daily and it was one of the most heart-breaking games I have ever seen. Topped only by the Ark. State game on Thursday night. Source
  15. Rockwall Heath has a 6-6 post Cleburne has a 6-8 post
  16. He had an offer from Tulsa and Tulane. Those are two pretty good programs.
  17. Not until 2009. They will still be a transitional FBS program in 2008.
  18. Williams Pulls Down 19 Rebounds In Basketball Win
