1. http://sportspage-dallas-ftworth.com/artic...%20issueWEB.pdf Page 7 for GGII's column on former NT announcer Merle Harmon Page 19 for the NT preview

3. Yes, If he played for USC, Notre Dame, UT or some other mighty BCS program.
4. I liked the Corky Nelson approach. He talked about how his team would need to play a good game to win, but no matter what the "Big Name" opponent would know they'd been in a game after they played NT.
5. It's not a problem for Schnelly, He's the most awesome coach ever, just ask him.
6. In my best Beavis voice. "He said shuttle'COCK'. Huh, Huh, huh."
7. What has improved since November? The information about the stadium is still all a lie, Fans drive an hour plus to watch what they heard from the athletic department was an open practice, then turned away because it it closed. RV and his minions don't know their right hand from their left hand. Sounds like typical AUGUST 2007 day at the UNT athletic department. Oh wait, that's rioght it's 2008 and NT is coming off a 2-10 season and one of the worst off season's in recent memory and the football coach, despite his open pleadings to the fan base (which is smaller than it should be), is doing everything he can to piss off the hard core fans, by not communicating with them. So you're right Tony, not everything is perfect at UNT and it's the same $hit, different day and year. Brett Tulloss
8. Well that sucks, but on the positive side. He should be able to be at the HOF induction ceremony.
9.
At UNT, it's VIPs only in stands
The Monday-Thursday practices this week at Fouts Field were open to the public, but some bellyaching surfaced after director of football ops Mark Barrow turned away folks on Friday night who had no connection to the team (parents, relative, girlfriends, close acquaintance, etc). Tonight's the last session at Fouts except for Saturday scrimmages, so it's back to "closed" workouts, which some are saying they didn't know about. Maybe Todd Dodge and everyone else at UNT didn't get the word out efficiently, but the policy is no change from a year ago. Spring open, fall closed. If you missed the first four days, you had your chance. --Troy Phillips

11. Holy $hit, The alumni association is actually doing something I might enjoy!!!
12. Anywhere that you can purchase electronics should have them or be able to get them. Radio Shack, Best Buy, Circuit City, Conns, Walmart, Target, etc.
13. Are either one of them Centers' I'd love to line up behind them.
14. http://theoldcoach.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=835078 That Hillcrest senior starting quarterback Jake Sherrington is the son of award-winning Dallas Morning News sports columnist Kevin Sherrington. The 6-2 Jake has prepped for his shot by attending Manning Camps in Louisiana and Todd Dodge camps since he was in junior high … That Argyle wide receiver Blake Dunham is the son of The Ticket's George Dunham, who I'll have to ask if Argyle games will join SMU game broadcasts on the popular talk radio station's schedule.
15. Yeah, I bet he loved being called "Hair" and being blamed for all of the passes caught on his 5-7 self.
16. He's an offensive lineman. Most of them are known for a mistake. Ask Phil Posderick!

18. Esteban "El Tortilla" Santiago lost a bunch of weight. He was listed at 302 last year and he's down to 285. I hope that's wrong. I don't want my starting tackle losing almost 20 pounds since last year. Heck I'd be ok with him putting on 20.
19. He was a dominating defensive lineman for Celina last year. Was First team APSE sports editors all-state.
20. I found this on Youtube.com. What a great play by two great players!!! Check out the second block. AWESOME!
