The Heisman committee invited the top 3 finishers to the ceremony. How did Harrell get shafted. I agree he had a spectacular year, but he WAS NOT AMONG THE TOP THREE. The Heisman trophy is an award that too much importance is put into. Remember Andre Ware, Ty Detmer, Gino Torretta, Charle Ward, Rashann Salaam, Danny Wuerffel, Ron Dayne, Chris Weinke, Eric Crouch and Jason White. None were stars in the NFL and Ty Detmer had the longest pro career and he was a lifetime back up. The Heisman is more of a hinderance to success that a help. With that said, I hope Colt McCoy of Texas wins the award.

That's an average of 4 losses a year. That don't cut it at Auburn. While at NT, we'd be thrilled if a coach averaged just 4 losses a year over a 10-year span. Hell, I'd be happy if we could hire a coach that I wanted to keep 10 years. Oh well, there's another coach out there that NT can't afford.

When people, not just football coaches, are looking for a job, they don't ask their current employer of they can go look for a new job. If Leach went to Washington, no problem. If Washington went to Leach, then there might be an ethical problem, but that would be attractive to Leach as he views himself as a pirate.

I was working for the SID office at this time and Keith was a very good player for any era. He was 6-3, 220 and ran a 4.6. He was a teammate of G-Money. And Keith was a great guy. He and Greg (G-Money) and a couple of other players did Anti-Drug PSA announcements for me that ran on NTTV.
