  1. It's apparent you aren't a fan of Deloach and I know you weren't a fan back when Deloach had this team in the top 10 in the nation defensively, but please give him a chance before dismissing his accomplishment. Trust me when I say that Deloach's second year after taking over a defense comes with marked improvement.
  2. I saw it on another site. If it is on 2 places on the interweb it's gospel.
  3. Me too. Quoner will navigate the boards after every game and post all significant threads in one post with a short summary about every one so we don't have to sift through the bullshit. I like this.
  4. It's not that the DL didn't have a chance to make plays/sacks/TFLs. There were many times they got hands on him and couldn't make the tackle. I know their QB is very good and elusive, but if you get a hand on him that much, you should be able to bring him down once or twice. I like that there were defenders in his face many times when he was throwing.
  5. The wide-outs we had on the field were superb last night. They put on a blocking clinic. Yes, they missed a few, but for the most part I was very very impressed with the WRs. Also- Everyone looking for deep passes might be disappointed until DBs start creeping up on us, and Riley has a couple more games under his belt.
  6. I want to say Nebraska does this for every team.
  7. Didn't realize this stat while watching: Penalties: 9 for 81 yds. That's a free drive. Too many IMO.
  8. Can't say enough about the defense. Offense put in some work, but had a couple of lapses. There were a few mistakes, but far less than last year. If this team can fix some of those mistakes - look out.
  9. Hey Fart Knockers. Guess what I have in my underwear.
  10. I think it would be more likely some new assistants as opposed to Todd getting the axe. I've never seen a team with so much talent achieve so little... This has to be a turning point. There's just too much talent to keep losing.
  11. So funny... Although, it's a good alternative to corona, so I disagree.
  12. John, Cerebus coming with you to go see In-laws in Indiannapolis is definitely what I would call "manning up".... Isn't he married tho?
  13. Back on the topic of football... Just want to make sure everyone realizes that in T-minus 1 week,we will be able to watch the glorious Mean Green on TV.
  14. If you have a True Motion function on the 100+ Hz Sets, I suggest turning it off before viewing BluRay or HD-DVD. Unless you like making movies look like Daytime Soap Opera shot on an HD hand held. -Great for sports tho.
  15. I don't believe it's an issue of shooting in 1080i or 720p, but a matter of not being able to broadcast 1080p and having to pick to broadcast in either 1080i or 720p. I guess a broadcaster could choose to broadcast both, but that wouldn't make much $en$e.
  16. ... done... 1997 and 1999. I get your point tho. Tech really wasn't relevant when we beat them. Our biggest wins in the past decade are in order. 1) Cincinnati 2) Tech 3) Baylor The only reason cincinnati is up there is only because it was a bowl win. The last of these wins happened 6 years ago.
  17. That is BadAss. I am very impressed with not only the amount of work being put up on the site, but also the quality.
  18. The posting activity (number of posts)on a board can also be a good indication of how many people care about your product. Just look at the points in which records were set for this board. It's a good indication of your fan base growing/shrinking.
  19. Many organizations, both public and private, inside and outside the business world, would kill to have such a compact and real-time barometric tool to gauge the performance of their work by their target demographic's opinions. It also helps them to be more productive in their jobs and focus efforts on building the brand. Brand Name is everything in college sports. Many of these posters/patrons follow the eagle logo wherever it goes no matter the quality of the product. Many of the opinions expressed on this board are a very good cross section of the problems the fan base is having, even if they don't post etc. The way I see it, there are 3 types of fans. 1. The people who are passionate/enraged and care enough to make the effort write personal letters/emails directly. 2. The people who are enraged or care enough to post on a fan message board in anonymity. 3. The people who will never do either of the above and walk away when they are upset with performance or presentation, never to be heard from once, or again - ever. The worst type of feedback is no feedback. In the above model, it is hardest for an individual to move from 3 to 1 or from 1 to 3, easiest for an individual to move from one number to the next, sequentially. So, the athletic dept needs to view this board as a great gauge/promotional tool for the majority users of their product, and whether or not they are slipping from one category to the next, namely 2 to 3, and if they care enough to make posts here or write personal letters/emails directly.
  20. Incredible that you remember all that about his brother. I just remember him being shuffled around the whole time he's been here, when years ago everyone on this board was happy to see someone like him come here. I doubt any of these factors was intentional. Some tough breaks, and some bad luck must have surely taken their toll. Best of luck.
  21. Michael Outlaw makes that list too...
  22. That's not the question...
  23. http://weblogs.cw33.com/news/local/dallas/...d-down-big.html And TCU for that matter. 2 SEC teams come calling and he turns them down.
