  1. This is a one time deal. They aren't switching to them permanently. Nike did it for 10 of their teams they supply. I think LSU is another school that has a version.
  2. I already have tickets. If the girl doesn't drag me to Norman, I will enjoy some froggie riot juice and good football.
  3. I'm sure the comment was originally made in jest. The hilarity, is that both units were equally as poor against Monroe. It's pointless to argue over who's fault it is. Special Teams, Offense, Defense... they were all suspect.
  4. If you make a statement that the team doesn't look prepared, I'd say it's relevant. You're right tho, it is a trend... not trying to defend that.
  5. This thread was started with an accidental diarrhea of the fingers.
  6. I'm assuming you are talking about our 2 wins? Is losing 3 games by less than 4 points even relevant? This board is just full of crazy statements.
  7. While I don't favor getting rid of either coach at the end of the year, that is an excellent reason to give Deloach a bit more leeway at this point than Dodge. He has skins at this level, and even with this school, that proves he can do the job. Another reason for maybe a bit more patience with Deloach: This is Deloach's 2nd year here. You don't want to change defensive schemes every 2 years. Just as a player gets familiar with the system, you go and change it? Doesn't make any sense.
  8. There are a lot of posters on this board who like to pretend they know what is going on inside the dept and that they have superior facts to base someones career with the mean green on when they state, "fire Dodge" or "fire Deloach". The joke is certainly not on I. The joke is on posters with less than 5 years worth of following the mean green, pretending that what Deloach accomplished here in the early '00s was a fluke, and starting ridiculous threads containing absolutely no arguments.
  9. I hope that prescience was the word you were looking for. It's obvious there was none of that on the sideline, otherwise he'd be able to do a hell of a lot better than just rallying troops. Deloach would be new football jebus, and I would have to start going to his church. And - WKY would have been shut out along with Alabama and every other school on our schedule.
  10. This thread was started as a joke.
  11. I have to agree with these sentiments. For some strange reason, every time I see someone doubting DeLoach's coaching abilities I can look at how long they've been a member of this board and see that they weren't around during his first tenure. I realize this isn't an accurate gauge of how long someone has been a fan, but I also don't know that they realize he was hired away by UCLA. DeLoach's football mind is nearly twice the capacity of just about every other coach on our staff, and I am still happy as hell to have him coaching this defense.
  12. Hard not to get "emotionally invested" when you go into the 4th quarter with a lead any other team would be able to hold onto.
  13. Tune's arm is better than Riley's right now. It might be a factor of age, but he throws a better ball than Riley does.
  14. That was 3 years ago... Also I believe we would have won more than 4 games in the past 3 years if Dickey stayed around.
  15. Rick, This is one of the best posts I've seen on our inability to get short yardage. We have one of the best, if not the best, O-line and RB combo in the conference. Our abortions on short yardage should not happen.
  16. Oh Noes. We burned the shirt of our freshmen Kicker. We are doomed.
  17. I'd look up the avg. starting field position for the game if I cared more. It looked like it was somewhere at mid field to me tho. We're getting whipped in every aspect of the game this year... I don't know why we should single out any one specific unit or stat anymore.
  18. Just curious... Did you take that picture?
  19. Well, looks like those aggies took that down quick...
  20. What were they thinking?
  21. I think it's obvious that activity on this board has fallen off dramatically this season and it is very apparent after losses (at least to me) that people are keeping their opinions to themselves. You can put me in the crowd who just throws my hands up and doesn't post much anymore, because it won't do any good.
  22. That's not a bad article.
  23. He has to figure out that while sometimes he may feel like, and sometimes is the best player on the field, that you can't do it all yourself - no matter how hard you try.
  24. This is and has been our problem for the past few years. These turnovers are killing us, and that's VERY difficult to coach out. It's up to the players to take responsibility for the football.
