There were plenty of seats open. I know we are all pretty new to this, but apparently - if you don't get a ticket from the athletic dept. there should be plenty available to buy walking up. I definitely had a great time, and would highly recommend making the trip regardless of not having ticket in the UNT section.

We most absolutely could hear him and his wife I think. It was pretty embarrassing. They go to every game and always are vocal and are always just the most awful thing to listen to.

OKC, yes. New Orleans - not so much. I don't know how many people would make that trip on a thursday. OKC is a little more do-able. 2 hr drive. If we get the 15 I want OKC. If we get a 14 I will take that over the 15 any day.

I see your point. I can't tell you who was 14 last year, but I can tell you that I knew SFA made the tourney. But then, again, you can't tell me it wouldn't help out in conference prestige and seeding for next year. I am really hoping for OKC, but just so I can go watch them, not because it helps us win anymore. Non-invested fans will always cheer for the underdog, and UNT is a very easy team to like the way they are playing right now and the style of ball they play.

So true Emmitt. This also sets the stage for UNT and for a lesser extent, the conference, next year. Please remember that we lose 1 starter, 2 guys total. We get back 2 contributors that were hurt almost the entire year in Dom. Johnson, and Kendrick Hogans. Things are looking spectacular for next year. If we get a 14 this year, people take notice. When we make it back next year, people remember and may give preference.

Ohio State in Milwaukee is fail. In my opinion, we are a preferred 15 seed, and they should at least give us OKC if we don't get a 14.

You are thinking of the 07-08 season. We played OSU at OSU last year and lost that as well. I think we won the 07-08 game because OSU was a vastly different team under a different coach. They went 17-16 that year, 23-11 the next, and 22-10 this year.

I agree with this sentiment. I do think, though, as long as we are the best of the 15 seeds it will be OKC. If we are a 15 and do go to OKC, I expect a huge contingent. While it is unlikely we'd win against a 2 - we need to show everyone that the fan support is there. The difference between a 14 and 15 seed is huge when you look at the difference between a 2 and 3 seed at the top. To everyone who doesn't think a 14 seed is a big difference, it's really a 2 seed swing when you combine it with the drop from having to play a 2 seed to playing a 3 seed.
