  1. Oh, no. They mentioned his 5-31 record a couple times.
  2. Sounds like a good trip to Clemson then?
  3. So what are you saying then? I saw your post in chat about a player that I'd rather not repeat. That second pick looked to me like it was designed for the ball to be thrown to a spot at a certain time and the WR couldn't shed a block to get back there. You can blame it on QB/WR and good coverage. It isn't being called a smashing success. You're just being overly dramatic.
  4. Don't really know if that is a decision. Looked more like a play call..
  5. Oregon 72 - NM 0 Ouch.
  6. Kick/Punt Coverage still looks bad. Why?
  7. Not the amount, just the timing it seems to me.
  8. After one game, I'll say you're right as far as penalties are concerned. Still optimistic so far with the season.
  9. Agree. We need a long drive to take the pressure off the D, or this could get ugly quickly.
  10. MootPoint: The rain on everyone's parade. I realize we aren't winning, but it's a welcome change to season openers past.
  11. Take advantage? HAHA, Please speak too soon again! Great INT.
  12. How can anyone question Tune's mobility?
  13. Or Tim Tebow...
  14. Agreed, I can't stand that call. It's certainly not "excessive".
  15. Tune is making great decisions and is only as mobile as he has to be... He's picking up first downs and yds with his feet when he has to.
  16. -1 Hard to blame the D with the amount of offensive turnovers last year and the year before and the short fields the offense gives them. How can you say 1 half into the season that it's more of the same? 2 plays and a horrible excessive celebration penalty. Can posters please save the coaching change talk until after the season, or at least closer to the end. This season will be a beating with all of that.
  17. I can't determine if Santiago is that slow or Bower is that fast. Maybe a combination, but Santiago is getting whipped on pass protection. When Santiago pulls and is forced to be a run blocker, he performs quite well. BTW, I know Royce Hill bit hard on the play action (like the rest of the defense), but man he's got some wheels and sure was closing fast. Our WR core is looking very fast today. Whatever happened in this off season really shows in this 1st half. 21-7 is tough at this point considering the stupid ass penalty and defensive brain fart on one play and an extra Clemson blocker in stripes. Defense needs to do some more tackling.
  18. A common misconception. The cable providers have done a good job lying to everyone about rabbit ears. Your rabbit ears still work, you just need a digital tuner for the signal. You don't even need one of those fancy, "digital signal rabbit ears" everyone tries to sell you. Just your run of the mill rabbit ears work fine.
  19. Checking UNT and TXTECH sites, UNTX is correct. http://www.unt.edu/admission/ http://www.admissions.ttu.edu/freshman/requirements/default.asp Also - UNT SAT and ACT scores are not up according to the UNT Fact Book. https://factbook.unt.edu/c8_fb/cgi-bin/cognos.cgi
  20. It always bothers me when our fans jump on another board only to scold other fans on their own message board. It certainly doesn't endear any fans to UNT. I do like the idea of being able to play Memphis in basketball in CUSA, and Tulsa has always been an enjoyable team and fan base to play against, even if our last meeting was a terrible beating.
  21. I don't know if the WAC and Benson have a time table. They will take whatever team wants to join them and whenever. You are right though, TCU and Patterson do not want to see BYU go. Neither does the rest of that conference.
  22. I seem to remember some other fellas doing the same show when I was a student at UNT... Good to see someone taking it back.
  23. It does have to do with money, but not immediately. BYU wants to be seen in more homes than those with versus or The MTN. It isn't all about the money at this point, it's about being seen in as many households across the country as possible for BYU. This Colorado blogger hits the nail on the head in his article: http://blogs.denverpost.com/sports/2010/08/25/byumwctv-saga-may-be-resolved-soon/12445/ "Unlike the proposed University of Texas network, BYU-TV isn’t a cash cow but a vehicle for spreading the Mormon faith."
