  1. It's apparent that the people making those comments are stuck in the northern reaches of the country and have no idea what goes on in Texas. They have no problem talking like they know what's going on, however. It really is interesting to see the TCU elitism coming out when they are literally only a few seasons removed from bringing in 10k fans a game to their stadium. I work with many TCU alums and just this week one was telling me that they hated SMU because they were the "rich" kids. But he said he is going to have to start changing his tune, because TCU tuition and fees have more than doubled since he graduated and the price of a TCU education is about comparable now to SMUs. UNT football will get better, you can count on it.
  2. You are always rather quiet on this board until a chance to voice an opinion against the belt. I'm not saying it's a bad position, it's certainly defensible. I just question the agenda with such a disproportionate # of posts against the belt. Have any more opinions on other topics? Perhaps elaborations to your normally 1 line replies to moving from the belt?
  3. just read the SMU board, and it really makes you think they are some smug assholes when you see a fire Doh thread and pooping all over their 10-6 team right before they go out and beat Memphis for the second time in a row. They are a fanbase that needs to temper expectations when trying to build a program. You don't just lose one year and run the table the next.
  4. That's because FAU is in at #15. It's a realistic scenario, but not a big deal at this point. We just need to win and we can get a higher seed than 15.
  5. Is that because you think you're fat? You could be drinking whole if you wanted to.
  6. This is highly stimulating. I'm eager to see what this bit of information means to the Mean Green and our fans.
  7. Yes, I was looking at overall win%. I believe it to be a better indicator than bowl records when ranking conferences in aggregate against one another. I didn't take into consideration the strength of schedules.
  8. Ah, I see what you did there... now.
  9. You are right, it isn't as wide as some here would lead you to believe. The top 3 conferences are really close together, but there is a fairly large gap between the Big 10 and Pac 10.
  10. I would agree, but not based on this game alone. Aggie has proven to be the most inconsistent team over the years. I don't think they are a very good measuring stick. LSU might be the 2nd best team in the SEC, while A&M is max 5th best. You can look at what happened in last years national championship and make a great argument for your point. Or you can look at the win percentage. Based on win% alone, here's the current rankings of the conferences: It's really just comparing how they played against competition out of their own conferences. SEC BIG 12 BIG 10 PAC 10 BIG EAST ACC WAC MWC CUSA MAC SBC
  11. Just watch what Oregon does...
  12. I do believe I was informed by my close TCU friends that a BCS auto-bid team backed out of their date with TCU, and the only teams left that would travel to TCU were FCS teams. You've been around long enough to know that there is usually more going on than just what we see on the schedules of non auto qualifiers.
  13. I love how these same people seem to think it's all up to TCU to get themselves into a conference with those teams, when those teams administrations are the ones not letting them in. There are so many RTards that spew bullsh for Big 12 schools.
  14. Agreed. So happy to see both Michigan and Michigan St. get the crap pounded out of them today. Big 10 is certainly a "gauntlet" when it comes to conference play. What a joke.
  15. They were getting it after our SHSU drubbing. I think that has been the focus of Johnny Jones since that game.
  16. That's a good put Emmitt. This is the first home game that I've missed this year. This goes without saying, but it's going to be really hard to replace Odufuwa's production. He shows up every game. No one on this team is more consistent.
  17. To raise our RPI, We should boycott everyone but teams in the Top 12.
  18. I voted yes, we shouldn't refuse and we should play them. But I think I got confused on what button to push. What a confusing question.
  19. How much of this is preaching to the choir? I wonder how many exclusive football fans we have on this board.
  20. it's not too late.
  21. The part that is really funny is some of their posters wanting UNT to "bail them out" by joining the WAC. As if UNT were put here to service TxSt and UTSA. What half their posters don't understand is that UNT will look out for UNT and it's not because we look down on TxSt, it's because we are looking out for numero uno. It's not that we don't want to be seen in the same conference with them, it's because we don't want to be seen in that conference. That's why we've turned down a standing invite for the past 8 yrs. But, carry on with that line of thinking TxSt fans. Here's a quarter to call someone who gives a rats ass. Texas Terror is the most rational poster on that board, and he's a SHSU fan... Why don't you TxSt fans convince SHSU to move into the WAC with you?
  22. SWTSUT-SA/SM?
