Both you and Green Dylan are operating on wild speculation. Then, you make an argument against the athletic dept. based on an assumption for which you have no factual basis. Until you know for sure that the reason we aren't playing in the CBI or CIT is financial, I would not worry your pretty little head over it.

I mean this in the most respectful way possible; You already received everything you were owed from this team, players and staff for your sacrifices in time, energy, and money. The team overpaid us fans that were fortunate enough to have made the trip to hot springs. We fans are owed nothing from players at this point, no matter how small you might think it is. The staff on this team have been nothing but appreciative and respectful of us fans and these players poured their guts onto the floor of the Summit. UNT owes it's players, which should be the only reason we would play in any post season tournament this year. What the staff owes UNT and it's fans is to look at what the program has now and what it needs to get to where we want to be year in and year out: The NCAA Tournament. No one is saying that we think we are superior to those schools, we are saying it's not a good idea to pay to play those teams when coming so close to making it to where the players had their hearts and minds set. It's not slight against the schools who can gain something from playing in the post season tournament. Right now, we don't gain anything, if the players don't really want to be there.

Jones might be the best player in this class. He might step right in and make a difference next season.

Well put. This is exactly how I feel. It will be a long, long time, maybe never, before I forget about this team and the incredible tournament performance and the way it ended. I'm fine remembering that legacy, because I went to watch them play in the NCAA tourney last year. I don't need them to play another game for me to remember what an incredible group of guys we had/have on this team.

Jimmer is BYU basketball. TCU shut just him down yesterday and gave BYU a scare. They have to ride him if they are going to win, because I don't think the rest of the team could get it done without him.

I'm sorry, I just don't agree. NCAA or Bust. Maybe the NIT. It just doesn't make any sense with seniors to play in the CBI or CIT. And I don't really think the guys want to play in that.
-
That's the one play that's burned into my memory as well. Didn't see it when it happened because of where we were standing, but I saw it on replay and really can't stop thinking about that.
-
According to my sources you heard wrong.

Really hope Josh gets it going tonight. He has been our dragon slayer over his career and he was really feeling it last night.
-
Is it? I heard it was at Lucky's?

The Rangers beating Tampa Bay and New York were also meaningless because they lost to the San Francisco Giants? The Mavs beating San Antonio would mean nothing as well because the Mavs didn't beat Miami. It's playoff style basketball. Lose and you're finished. Last night the favorite and champion of the East, the Sun Belt regular season champions and Sun Belt defensive player of the year were beaten. They're all big games, don't sell it short. You all should know this by now.

I don't think it was a statement. FIU handed them the game on every possession in one of the strangest games I've ever witnessed in person. MTSU will have the edge for the rest of the tourney and tonight should be their first real game.

Thomas is the worst coach in the league. He had everything to do with that blow out.
-
Jimmer Fredette did the same thing. That's good company.

Ben was best when he was off the ball last night. He didn't allow an inside pass to Tooms who had his hook working well. I agree that he was a bright spot.

This is the recruiting class that got us to this level. Nothing from this group of seniors will be a disappointment. Winning 20 games means a great deal for our program, especially when you consider where we've come from.

I think it could be changed, but I don't really see it as a big problem. Also, we could have more better speakers, a sun Roof that opens, more fog machines, and a bald eagle cage hanging from center court with dancers and a bald eagle in it. But lets be honest of the real problem - the guy and his friends were just pissed off that they didn't come for the Tech game earlier in the year and instead got stuck with the excitement that is Denver basketball and then proceeded to compare that experience to watching the number 5 team in the nation and one of the best players in the nation kick the everliving crap out of a conference struggling TCU team and blame it on the stadium. F that. Complaining about bands is bush league. Complaining about ours proves that he absolutely has no idea what he's talking about. I can't tell you how many times this season I've been in awe of their version of "Eye of the Tiger". Real happy to have great musicians having fun at our games. Also their comic relief and life-size cutouts are hilarious. Anyone who doesn't think the band is class should have gone to the NCAA tourney last year. F that too.

Awesome. Thanks to Vito.

I don't know, but your avatar has me pumped. So pumped, I've just decided to make the trip. I'll be leaving tomorrow morning.

All I've ever heard about the super pit from people who know what they are talking about is how there isn't a bad seat in the house, and it's a great place to catch a basketball game. TCU sold out it's game vs BYU, so that could be why you thought that place was okay and a lot of it's piss poor layout was undiscovered to you.

Attendance will continue to increase at UNT for the next year most definitely. If Johnny salary is a function of putting butts in seats, we are (or should be) prepared to increase it accordingly. He is bringing in individuals with talent that basketball fans will want to see, not just UNT fans. Compare us to whoever you want. It's all relevant.

Sarcasm is difficult to express over the internets.

I meant to imply that the owls might not make it that far.
