Instructions on adding ESPN3 for those who don't have AT&T or other ESPN3 provider. Lifted from the UH board: Log out of any Yahoo! products (email, my Yahoo!, etc.) Go to http://www.att.net/ Click on "Mail" in the leftmost column. Click on "Create New Account" on the bottom right of the sign-in page. Create an att.net email address. Go to www.espn3.com Click on "Remote Access" in the top bar (just to the left of Watch Now) Select AT&T as your service provider, and login with the att.net email you just created. Voila, you now have espn3.com access. -
Not sure I follow...

I noticed that too. A lot of what he has to talk about right now is experience over his career. They are good stories for the most part, but hopefully he will have some more to tell about his current job.

For those who missed it. feel free to add to this. Comments from Dan Mac: On Houston: - Anything can happen on a Saturday. - Essential to keep our offense on the field and control the clock to keep Houston's offense off the field - Houston should be ranked. - Much respect for Sumlin, coached against him before. - The players were embarrassed after FIU, and Lance Dunbar said he wanted to go back and practice right away. (MacCarney sounded slightly emotional when mentioning the feeling and comments made by players in the locker room after the game.) If we aren't winning it's not because the players accept it. On Apogee: - Only one chance to open a stadium. - Great venue for a college football game. - Hopes the atmosphere will be electric on Saturday. Click here to view the article

Got to check out my seats today. Going to be really cool when we get the winning going.

Just Ban him Harry. We don't need people questioning your authority.
-
Simply fans discussing a game. Don't know what you see wrong with that.
-
Don't know what that means but it looks like you were about to say something and trailed off.
-
And made 2 decisions that should have been intercepted. One for 6. I pray to god we don't get into QB battle talk. That crap is a beating.
-
If you know something, please share. Otherwise your statement is speculation. Your game plan would be fine, but we still would have had to execute it.
-
I understand everyone knows this is the game plan, but in the first game as a new coach, I just don't know if my team can execute even if everyone knows what's coming. I have to find that out. Whether it's against OU or FIU. To be sure, I'd feel more comfortable going into the FIU game with that plan rather than OU. Oops. It's obvious it didn't work and that they changed the play calling as soon as it was obvious it wasn't working. But again, the execution simply wasn't there either. We fans, coaches and players, should have a lot to learn from this game.
-
You're right, but I can't tell if you are angry about that game plan or not. Or what you would have done differently without hindsight. I don't understand kicking the ball to T.Y. Let me offer up the following: Go back 4 weeks prior to Thursday. If you were coach for a day what's your game plan? I kicked the best WR off the team for who cares what. I have a new QB. I have a BA running back with a questionable O-line. My game plan is: 1. Get Lance Dunbar going. Early and often. Even if they know what's coming I can demoralize them if I can establish the run early and take pressure off this young QB and get my WRs opened up. 2. Control the clock and the ball This does have the effect of shortening the game, but it also has the effect of keeping their defense on the field, and ours off of it. 3. Limit turnovers - especially interceptions thrown by my developing QB. It's not too different from his and once you are down by 21-28 in the 1Q you have to open things up to try to climb back into it.

Correct the drops from Powers. The over throws from Thompson. The holding on the Lance Dunbar screen and improve WR blocking. Our poor execution won't help us regardless of play calling / adjustments.

For those who haven't received their tickets yet

Hmm, guess I'll be making a call and maybe going up there on Monday. Thanks for the info. -
I just don't know all that much about USU's line or how similar they are to us to feel comfortable making those comparisons. USU has had let down's in the past as well. You are right though, there are plenty of things more miraculous than a young O-line taking coaching and getting better. Put it into the realm of very real possibility. There is plenty to look forward to.
-
This is exactly how I would expect all of us to treat this season. Comparing our shortfalls to other programs successes will always end in disappointment. No one likes losing, but we should know how to handle it by now.
-
They did the same thing to OU last year with the same coach, and still lost to in conference opponents SDSU, Hawaii, Boise St, Lousiana Tech and Idaho by somewhat large to very large margins so I would hesitate to draw too many lines between them and where we should set our expectations, if that's what your point is.
-
Does this mean you expect us to perform above realistic expectations against Houston and Alabama?
-
I really hope you're right. Utah St. has had records as bad as ours for longer than us.
-
The Big 12 still has an autobid. Any team would want to join and try to make that work. I still don't think SMU gets in.

UNT lands Argyle guard Clarke Overlander

I think it may say more about the level of play going from UNT to SMU, than it says about the ability of Collin. He was a nice role player while he was here, but he might have been one of the nicest players at SMU. Really wish him the best.
