I'll reserve judgement on Chris Jones right now, but I think his decision making and raw talent is equal to that of Jacob Holmen as a freshmen. Just in a slightly smaller package. Looked like he was forcing a lot of possessions, but created very nicely a couple of times at the beginning. I really get the feeling he wanted this to be the Chris Jones show, and that would have been okay with me, had he hit a few more shots. But, I get the feeling he normally makes them in practice. Niko looked pretty damn good around the basket and is supposed to have a good outside touch, think he only got one 3pt att. Jordan, looked like he should have had a few more points, but didn't try to do anything above his ability. I felt real comfortable with Trey Norris at 1 and Chris at 2. Maybe it is because Trey is more like Josh White. Trey seems like a natural pass first point. Of course Hogans was getting doubled, Alonzo had some nice plays around the basket and Alzee was able to make some beautiful slices a couple of times. Robinson needs some arms. He looks like he needs to grow into the frame. Team defense: perimeter looked good playing the passing lanes. Real long and active arms. Quickness. Looked good. Interior needs work. Seemed to lose a couple of guys on the baseline when rotating. Will be very nice to get some Tony Mitchell Defense down low. Great Crowd, Great Band. Thanks Jesus basketball is back up ons. One more thought: Not many guys drawing fouls driving. Maybe because it's just an exhibition? Maybe because we aren't a great free throw shooting team? I dunno. Something to watch going forward I guess.

I don't think you understand probabilistic outcomes when you only throw stats for 3 players into the model, and 1 of those hasn't played in 2 years. Maybe he does have an accurate prediction? Why don't we wait and see? You're sentencing a man to death with no evidence yet. In fact, the only hard evidence at this point, would be on his side.

Young/inexperienced teams are also very inconsistent. Consistency from week to week is usually the last thing to come to a freshmen QB and a young team.

Man, I'm real sorry you expected a big turn-around this year. Can you expand on what you feel the coaches are responsible for? We've equaled last years' win total and have 3 more to play after this one. We knew this one might get ugly. A State is playing good football this year. Fundamentally sound. Thompson is out. Our O-line is full of noobs. Our QB is a noob. The only way we get pressure is blitzes and Aplin is too quick/smart for that. We need Dline that can get pressure. We either need some players or we need some current guys to step up and become players.

Regardless of classification, it's painfully obvious we don't have the talent to get it done right now. It's also painfully obvious that it's going to take McCarney more than half a recruiting season to correct it. Stop comparing us to ULL. Their previous coach was still recruiting. and recruiting well. Also, we had injury problems last year, but ULL may have had it worse. God, some of you are so impatient.
