Could Robinson and Norris both get medical redshirts? Don't count on Patton being around. I hope that happens, but it's a long time till next year.
-
Never understood this. They can get a degree and not experience any of what a university has to offer at NCTC and save money doing it. I hope every student at one time would go to a one o'clock lab concert, or to a football/basketball game, or go to listen to the speakers in the lyceum. Or, change majors several times to find the best fit. Or go talk with some of the brilliant minds on the faculty. What's the point in going to a university if all anyone wants is a degree and is not going to do anything beyond go to class? Boring!

Stick your head in the sand if you want to. But don't run off new people on this board, please. It's refreshing to hear from a student who's not afraid to speak to the old guard. I'm guilty of surrounding myself with friends that don't mind going to football games in the rain and cold, but the majority of people don't like sitting through that.

It took bowl games and a defense that knocked the screws loose in people to get me to care about going. Wins and playing teams students care about beating will cure a lot of problems.

At the last game against WKU he was having some injury issues if I remember correctly. He was real reluctant to say ANYTHING to the trainers about it, because it looked like he knew it would mean he'd have to sit. His dad was pretty concerned about it as well, but didn't seem all that surprised. Trainers didn't seem surprised either and seemed to diagnose it quickly. He did not play the last part of the WKU game, and I remember thinking he might be out for a little while by the body language.

I was hoping that was what you meant. You obviously care enough to post on the message board. And we're damn glad you do. To be honest though, what does the administration do to make anything known to the students?
-
Aside from this argument, I understand all the other points. I hope our current students don't expect administration or anyone for that matter to make them do anything. It takes effort to care about something.

Heard today from a source that Texas Tech has already decided who it's starting QB will be next year. Some of the QBs lower on the depth chart are wanting out and that 6'2" 209lbs FR QB Scotty Young from Denton, TX is interested in coming to UNT. This kid was recruited by Texas and Texas Tech and chose Tech over Texas. Would have to sit one year and have 3 to play.

Any time we lose, no matter by how much, the refs are never to be blamed on this board. I'm sure someone will come on here soon to tell you how much of a basketball idiot you are, but it won't be me. Call it how you see it.

I'd like to call out Tasty for skipping the football game. That dirtbag gave up his football season tickets to spend money on airline tickets and game tickets to the LMU tournament just to go watch the UNT basketball team. We will never be big time as long as we have fans like him.

I had a lot of fun there tonight with the usual crew. The outcome helped a lot. I can't blame anyone for not going. It was wet and cold, and traffic around our fair burgh was crazy and in some places treacherous. Miserable weather. Glad I went.

Harvard is 7-0 with a win over Florida State #20 and MUTS are 7-1 with a win against UCLA and double OT loss to Belmont who has only lost to Memphis#10 and Duke#6. There's no shame in losing to MUTS or Harvard. They are by far the best team in this tourney.

Murray St 70 WKU 59 LaLa 78 McNeese 56 MT 77 Tenn. St. 62 3-2 on the night.

Yea, you're right. Real hit or miss with that team. I guess I was encouraged by GMU and VA tech at the beginning of the season.

It's always interesting to see those teams that start off with a real good streak hit some rough patches in the later half. We did it last year. How much of it do you think is other younger teams, or teams with added components, turning the corner playing with each other, and catching up to the chemistry present on those veteran teams? It's not that the team gets worse, or fades, it's just that so many other teams start figuring things out.

Ooo, If it's plantar fasciitis there's a potential he might not be right for the whole season. It really just depends on the pain and there's always the constant threat of re-injury. It's tough to heal that up during the season. Tennessee State is playing MT real close tonight.

This is a bit right? It's gotta be.

He put up some bad shots, but I recall a couple of them being late in the clock or just no one moving to get open. Chris plays his best when he takes his time and is not forced to take shots.
-
How many new faces/transfers do they have?
-
Karen Aston paid for the bus out of her own pocket.
-
He has been sick recently. Not sure if that was the issue vs MSU. If you read through the MSU game thread, he was not available for that game.
-
That seems to be somewhat of a leap. CJ wasn't quoted as wanting to best Josh White. I'm sure he'd like to win above all else.
-
Doesn't look like that in person.

You can always count on Tasty to have basketball milestones documented in his signature. Dec. 18.
