Wins don't matter. The only thing that matters is correctly predicting who is going to take a shot before it happens. Making the right reads is what we like to call it. Skiver is a pro at making the right reads.

Kansas lost again to unranked Oklahoma. I think OU is better than many expected this year, but there's something wrong with Kansas right now. That is 3 losses in a row for them, and it might be 4 after they get done with Kansas St.

Everyone graded out perfectly tonight. Made the right reads and audibles.

Didn't think a couple of mitchells fouls were fair. But that's the way it goes. None of these 4 guys on the floor right now can be blamed at this point anymore: alzee, tony, Jordan, roger. They are the team. Niko needs some more consistency, pj needs some more range, Clarke needs to find a stroke. Coleman needs to play like he's one of the biggest guys on the court without blatantly shoving people. This season is just being played out now. Holman gave it a go and Patton gave it a go. There isn't much to do unless someone outside of those 4 guys finds some kind of crazy streak in hot springs.

Your writeup is exactly what I expected. However, I think this game proved #5 Kansas was a fraud more than TCU is great. #5 teams don't lose to a team without a conference win or a team that struggles to score 62. #5 teams simply do not hit 3 field goals in a half and score only 14 by halftime to a team like TCU. Kansas last night played a lot like we have all season, and I'd be willing to say that Bill Self got out coached last night, and it probably doesn't happen as often as it does with us. Trent Johnson was leaving LSU even if TCU didn't come calling, and JJ was probably going to LSU even if Trent Johnson didn't want to go anywhere.

Actually, Harry is spot on. I think our average was close to 50% tonight.

That isn't always an automatic foul situation. Can't fault that. You will find the best coaches in the business debate that as being a smart move.

Other than the not following him part and the peaking part, I agree with both you and Tasty. I still follow Johnny, but could not care less for LSU and even less for a thread started here about either of them. Exceptions are if LSU plays North Texas or a JJ coached NT team are being discussed. I want the best for Johnny Jones and enjoy watching his teams (then and now), but this board is the last place I want to see updates on him. I'm sure as we get farther away from his time here we'll see less of this. Part of the reason we see so much now is because JJ was a likeable figure and provided us fans with possibly the best stretch of North Texas basketball we've ever seen. You don't see anyone giving us updates on Karen Aston. Maybe its because folks have faith in Pederson - A hire that RV hit outta the park, IMO. Guy seems like he wants to be here.
