Nah, I stopped showing up to basketball games after the MTSU game. and before that I had been to half of what I normally am. I still buy season tickets, so it's not like I can't afford or want to take the time to drive up to Denton. It's that I have no reason to anymore I've found peace with that.

Mark probably needed a break from trying to tell others how they should be mean green fans. Your comment about people showing up to games and supporting and things would be different was funny. I immediately thought of the MTSU game. It was a hard fought game, it really was. I left feeling pretty good even though we lost. But, the outcome wasn't unexpected. Fans had nothing to do with the outcome of that game. Then your follow up on consulting players was even sillier. I hope these student athletes are having a great time and getting a great education playing ball for us and are proud to be part of this university. However, any decisions needs to be made with the direction of a program in mind. Not the direction of a couple of players or even an entire team. The time for building teams that can play has evidently passed. Now is as good a time as any to evaluate the direction of a program. I'm glad the players and coaches respect each other, I really am. If that was all it took, I'm sure we'd be in the national championship. But it's not an advantage over other teams. They do that stuff too. The coaches and players that don't shouldn't be working at all or shouldn't be on scholarship as its an indication of a poor leader and poor followers. It's part of the sport in the way that needing a ball or shoes or a hoop is.

I'm not worried about giving a new coach a fair shake. I'm worried about the direction of the program for the next 2 years. I really want to buy season tickets next year. The AD could do something or they could do nothing to make my mind up.

It's funny what getting a football team does to people. We'd have never heard about them if they haven't gotten one. Now, in the off season we have to hear about their academics from a keyboard cowboy. Lulz.

Things were good when JJ was here. But, they weren't go out and get Larry brown, host multiple 4 and 5 star athletes, and have a chance at beating/hosting the number 7 team in the nation good. We are now where we are because they passed on the guy we hired.

Why would an SMU fan go to denton for a football game. They have everything they could want inside of a zip code bubble in Dallas that includes their own stadium and they won't even go to that.

NT03 and Andrew? Benford and Andrew?

Josh white was very quick, just did not have blazing speed. He had Tristan for that. There's a difference between being quick and being fast. Don't have to be fast, but being a quick defender makes up for a lot of what lacked in the speed department. Another guy who was very quick and fundamentally sound on defense was Shannon Shorter. Those guys had an easier time getting into transition because they were quick defenders and it led to easy buckets. Our zone has been a welcome addition but it's born more out of necessity, and even benford knows that. If you don't have at least one guy who can stop their man in man defense, u are in trouble and we are already in trouble. Our tourney teams had multiple guys that could defend and rebound (Tristan was not one, but brought too much offensively). Currently, we are a one dimensional one trick pony. Above average offensive guard play with gaping holes under the basket and just about everyone is a liability on defense. We have plenty of guys who can dribble penetrate, but no second option available for the underneath when te shot is contested. We have had absolutely no one since Tyler Hall that could make an entry pass except for Niko on occasion. We need a lot of pieces and some different players. We have people tripping over each other trying to bring the same thing to the court as other guys on this team.

Man, it's damn cold up there. Can't imagine walking to class in that with Lake Michigan being so close. If he does go there, you might want to keep in touch with him, because as a Texas kid myself, Chicago in the winter is not fun.
